Netflix has released the first scene of the second season of Heartstopper, and Charlie and Nick are as adorable as ever. The streamer also revealed the titles of all eight episodes.
Get ready for even more fluffy romance between Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor). The series, which has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, will return later this summer for a highly anticipated second season. But don’t worry, there is a way for you to watch the first two minutes of new Heartstopper content. Scroll down to see!
In the sneak peek, we see glimpses of Charlie’s room, which include the Polaroid picture from his beach date with Nick and the framed photo the rugby player got him for his birthday. Awwww! The Truham student checks his phone after turning off his alarm to see a text from his boyfriend. “Hi,” it simply reads, followed by a heart emoji. But it’s enough to put a smile on Charlie’s face (and ours, too!).
From there, the clip shows Charlie getting ready for school, all the while smiling each time his phone dings with a new message from Nick. The two banter about the requirements of a good boyfriend and Charlie mentions he needs “kisses many times a day.”
Heartstopper fans have pointed out how the new clip mirrors the beginning of the first season, but with a much happier Charlie.

Say Hi to Nick and Charlie
Finally, the two are reunited at school with Nick surprising his boyfriend from behind. Yes, we cannot stop referring to these two as boyfriends. Then, Netflix shared the titles of the upcoming episodes in order: “Out,” “Family,” “Promise,” “Challenge,” “Heat,” “Truth/Dare,” “Sorry” and “Perfect.”
The cast said they are excited to see the audience react to this new, more mature season. This includes Charlie navigating an eating disorder, and Nick finding ways in which he can help.
“Nick and Charlie navigate their new relationship; Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges, and Tao and Elle work out if they can ever be more than just friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris, and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love, and friendship,” reads the official synopsis.
Meet the Heartstopper S2 Cast
Also returning this season are series regulars Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, and Rhea Norwood. Jenny Walser, Cormac Hyde-Corrin, and Olivia Colman will also star. A few new faces will join them, like Leila Khan as Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David, Bradley Riches as James McEwan, and Nima Taleghani as school teacher Mr. Farouk.
“It’s really gorgeous because they’re such a bonded gang in the comic and in the scripts that [Alice] wrote. And then you have these actors who are also equally bonded and love each other so much,” said executive producer Patrick Walters about the cast. “It’s an energy of friendship on set, whenever the actors are there and a whole big gang. It’s really nice.”
Season two of Heartstopper premieres on Netflix on August 3.
