Everyone is Shirtless and Sweaty in Troye Sivan’s ‘Rush’ Music Video

Troye Sivan’s “Rush” music video is a sweaty, sultry display of queer joy.

Troye Sivan has edged us long enough. The “Angel Baby” singer has finally released his new single and music video for his highly anticipated track, “Rush.” Fans have already named it the gay bop anthem of the summer. We second that.

In the video, the singer is surrounded by hot bodies as he grinds, sways, smokes, and sings with the crowd. He’s also seen dangling over a keg, peering through a glory hole, and making out with multiple men.

Troye Sivan is Back With a New Album

Along with the video and single release, Sivan announced the title and release date of his new album, Something to Give Each Other. It will be available to purchase and stream on Friday, October 13. This is the 28-year-olds third studio album, following Blue Neighborhood and Bloom

“This album is my something to give you – a kiss on a dancefloor, a date turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer. Party after party, after party after after party. Heartbreak, freedom. Community, sisterhood, friendship. All that,” he wrote on Instagram.

Many queer celebs have flocked to Sivan’s comment section to praise the new release. Wednesday star Hunter Doohan wrote, “obsessed,” while longtime friend Tyler Oakley said, “A TRIUMPH!! the song, the video, the vibe… you nailed it!!”

What is “Rush” All About

In a statement, Troye described “Rush” as “the feeling of kissing a sweaty stranger on a dancefloor, a two-hour date that turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer”.

“Party after party, after party after after party,” he added. “All of my experiences from a chapter where I feel confident, free and liberated. Independent, yet somehow the most connected to the music and community around me.”

The “Rush” music video was directed by Gordon von Steiner and choreographed by Sergio Reis. Watch the full video below.
