You can order your Whopper with ‘same-sex’ buns if you live in Austria.
Burger King Austria is celebrating the start of Pride month with a new bun option for its Whoppers. More specifically, customers can choose their burger to have two top or two bottom buns instead of one of each.

If you thought this was a reference to tops and bottoms in relationships, you’re not alone. But their Instagram says the Pride burger has “two equal buns for equal love and equal rights.”
“We set an example for the equality of all identities and sexual orientations. A little twist meant to put a smile on our faces and remind us to treat each other with respect and peace. No matter who you are and who you love. #TimeToBeProud.”

Burger King Celebrates Pride
This isn’t the first time Burger King has rolled out a seasonal offer during Pride month. Burger King Mexico changed its logo to “Burger Queer” in 2020, and in 2014, the fast-food chain sold Whoppers in San Francisco wrapped in a rainbow paper that read, “We are all the same inside.”
The Whopper is available only in Austria until June 20. However, if you can’t order a Whopper, would you pick top or bottom?
