    “Detectives have learned the phrase ‘gay baby jail’ is commonly used as a reference in video games,” the police department stated. “At the time the tape was located, a large convention was taking place at the Gaylord, attracting thousands of attendees, many of whom were anime and video game enthusiasts.”

    The department assured that no connection between the message and Griner has been established. They are continuing to investigate the situation, working to determine who placed the tape, when it occurred, and the intent behind it. Police also encouraged anyone with relevant information to come forward.

    Griner, 33, has faced her own set of high-profile challenges in recent years. In February 2022, she was arrested in Russia after authorities found a small amount of cannabis oil in a vape cartridge while she was in Moscow to play basketball during the WNBA off-season. She was convicted on drug charges and sentenced to nine years in prison. After months of intense negotiations, Griner was released from a Russian labor camp on December 8, 2022, as part of a high-stakes prisoner exchange brokered by the Biden administration.

    Chanda Macias, CEO of Women Grow, expressed support for Griner’s decision to withdraw from the summit, stating that safety must come first. “We wholeheartedly support Brittney in prioritizing her safety,” Macias told Marijuana Moment. “We are actively working with the venue and local authorities to investigate the situation and hold those responsible accountable.     Gatwa’s Resilience Amid Backlash

    Gatwa, 32, has faced some vocal criticism since assuming the role of the Doctor. In particular, some fans have expressed disappointment with the series’ emphasis on inclusivity, a feature that has been a part of the show’s DNA long before Gatwa’s tenure.     “I wouldn’t be the only Black lead that’s taken over a sci-fi franchise that would have received that sort of treatment,” Gatwa told Vanity Fair in November 2024. “Unfortunately, those are voices that exist in sci-fi fandoms – but they’re not the only voices.”

    Gatwa further described how Doctor Who fans have made him feel like part of a “big nerd family” since stepping into the role. He highlighted how, even during difficult circumstances—such as shooting in extreme weather conditions—there are always dedicated fans waiting outside the studio.

    “I just remember feeling a lot of warmth and love, being embraced into a big nerd family. When we’re shooting Doctor Who, there are fans outside the studio or on location every single time, be it at 4am, be it minus-12 degrees,” he said.

    Looking Past the Negativity

    While acknowledging that racism and homophobia are still real issues, Gatwa expressed his focus on the positives that have come from his time on Doctor Who. He’s used to navigating criticism, but he chooses to concentrate on the love and support that surrounds him.

    “I don’t want to invalidate the very real thing that is racism, homophobia. I don’t act as if they don’t exist or they don’t affect me. They do. But I try to pay it no mind and look at the many, many positives that came from joining the Whoniverse,” Gatwa said.

    The actor’s resilience and positivity seem to be paying off, as Doctor Who continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its inclusive storytelling and bold new direction under Gatwa’s leadership.     The White Lotus is back with a shocking season three that has many wondering how much of a gay storyline viewers will be getting this time around.

    Looking at the cast for this new installation for the franchise on HBO, cast members Carrie Coon and Aimee Lou Wood grace the screens alongside others like Natasha Rothwell as Belinda back for another stay at the infamous resort chain.

    As far as other members of the cast, many are focused in on none other than Saxon played by Patrick Schwarzenegger and Lochlan played by Sam Nivola.

    The two brothers, one of the many dysfunctional groups staying at the hotel, are rich, with the older one with a bit of an arrogant attitude.

    Trying to impress his younger brother Lochlan by showing him how to flirt to even teaching him how to embrace his manhood, viewers get a glimpse on how far this character is willing to go to assert his dominance.

    While initially going to share a room with his sister, Saxon declares that they should instead share a room together as the boys of the family.

    Later in the episode while the two are getting ready for bed in their room, Saxon can be seen shirtless proclaiming to his brother on how to get what he wants in life. From there after a brief pause, Saxon grabs a tablet and ponders on how he will be jerking off in the room next to his younger brother.

    After the awkward and long, dramatic pause while the two look at each other, fans sensed the sexual tension between the two brothers.

    Fans are in shock over the sexual tension in the scene and people are now assuming that there will be an incest storyline between Saxon and Lochlan. One person tweeted: “Please tell me there’s not an incest storyline.” Another wrote: “what the hell is happening with these brothers on the white lotus.”

    However, others praised the TV show for exploring uncomfortable themes. A fan tweeted: “White Lotus season 3 starting with gay incest, bitter middle aged white women and British people oh I’m LIVING.”

    Patrick Schwarzenegger, who plays Saxon, has teased that things get even more “uncomfortable” and Sam Nivola, who plays Lochlan, has confirmed that he has a nude scene.

    Speaking at The White Lotus press conference, Patrick said: “There are some uncomfortable conversations between us in the bed that are a little weird to show in front of your family. Episodes 5 and 6, there will be some times that I take some bathroom breaks from the family, or maybe I won’t watch that episode.”

    Meanwhile, Sam spoke about his first nude scene and on screen kiss. He said: “Of course, that comes along with a lot of fear and anxiety [but] there’s a few people that I would trust more with footage of my buttocks [than creator Mike White]. He made us feel so comfortable.”

    It’s not clear how far the series will be pushing not only the gay agenda this season, but we will see how family dynamics play out.
