Joe Locke and Dylan Mulvaney Just Gave Us Bestie Goals at Sabrina Carpenter’s Concert

Joe Locke and Dylan Mulvaney might’ve just stolen the spotlight at Sabrina Carpenter’s concert in London this weekend. The Heartstopper star, 21, and beloved TikTok creator, 28, were spotted at BST Hyde Park on Saturday, July 5.

Photos show the duo dancing the night away, having an absolute blast — and yes, I’m wildly jealous. While they’ve never hidden their close friendship, they recently shared a set of sweet Instagram pics, cheekily captioned, “first couples shoot.”

Locke even added a playful “hard launch” in the comments—prompting Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson to chime in: “You two… just playing the media like a harp.” And honestly? Guilty as charged—we’re eating it up.

But in case you’re wondering who these two stars are, here’s a quick refresher:

Joe Locke shot to fame as Charlie Spring in Netflix’s Heartstopper, and has since joined the Marvel universe in Agatha All Along and made his Broadway debut in Sweeney Todd. Proudly outspoken, Locke uses his platform to advocate for queer representation and challenge typecasting in the industry.

Dylan Mulvaney is a powerhouse in her own right. A theater-trained actress turned viral content creator, she skyrocketed to fame with her TikTok series Days of Girlhood, documenting her transition with humor and heart. She’s interviewed President Biden, starred in a Fringe musical, dropped her own single, and even penned a memoir. Basically? She’s booked, busy, and beloved.

One thing’s for sure: these two are absolutely thriving — and we love to see it.

Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach kicked off the global promotional tour for The Fantastic Four: First Steps with a glamorous photo call in Paris, posing for cameras at the futuristic Espace Niemeyer building.

The Paris location, designed by famed Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, felt like a fitting backdrop for the film’s retro-futuristic 1960s vibe. With sleek lines, bold curves, and architectural flair, the setting teased the energy of Marvel’s newest cinematic universe.

Pascal leads the cast as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, with Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Together, they bring fresh energy and major star power to Marvel’s First Family — and from these first images alone, fans are ready to follow them anywhere.

What is Fantastic Four: First Steps About?

Set in a stylized version of the 1960s, First Steps introduces the team as they face off against their most terrifying foe yet: the planet-consuming Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson. Julia Garner joins the action as his mysterious Herald, the Silver Surfer.

Balancing their new roles as heroes and the challenges of chosen family, the Fantastic Four must save Earth — and each other — in what promises to be one of Marvel Studios’ boldest, most visually striking films to date. Directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), the film also stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.

  • Alex Newell Talks Pride Month, Filming in Capri, and Why Threesomes Aren’t a ‘Simple Favor’

Alex Newell Talks Pride Month, Filming in Capri, and Why Threesomes Aren’t a ‘Simple Favor’

Tony winner Alex Newell has never shied away from the spotlight—whether they’re belting on Broadway, stealing scenes on TV, or rocking a red carpet look that nearly shuts down the Met Gala. But in their conversation on the Pride podcast, Newell gets real about queer joy, Capri, and the favor they’ll never do.

“Threesomes? Never do that as a simple favor,” Newell joked. “It’s not simple—it’s convoluted.”

From breaking out on The Glee Project to making Broadway history with their powerhouse performance in Shucked, Newell is a force—onstage, onscreen, and, as we learned on the podcast, in a speedboat to Capri.

“I did everything that I never thought I would do in life,” Newell said, laughing about filming A Simple Favor 2. “Getting on a boat to go to another boat to go to a restaurant? That was fun.” Newell revealed they nearly shut down an entire airport tarmac while filming. “I was just like, what is this? Oh, I have to go through security after I pee? Great. I love this.”

The A Simple Favor films follow the twisted, stylish world of mommy vlogger Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) and her glamorous, enigmatic bestie Emily (Blake Lively). The first film, released in 2018, became a cult favorite thanks to its unexpected plot twists, dark humor, and queer undertones. Now in the sequel, the chaos continues—this time in Capri—with even more murder, mystery, and martinis.

Newell plays Vicky, a character they say felt naturally aligned with their own vibe. “Someone that wants to go on vacation and drink three bottles of wine in one setting? That’s me,” they said. “Also, I love Paul Feig.” Feig, who executive produced Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, reconnected with Newell for the sequel, bringing queer energy and chaotic elegance to the screen once again.

(L to R): Detective Summerville (Bashir Salahuddin), Vicky (Alex Newell), Darren (Andrew Rannells), Sona (Aparna Nancherla) and Stacey (Kelly McCormack) in ANOTHER SIMPLE FAVOR.
(L to R): Detective Summerville (Bashir Salahuddin), Vicky (Alex Newell), Darren (Andrew Rannells), Sona (Aparna Nancherla) and Stacey (Kelly McCormack) in ANOTHER SIMPLE FAVOR.

Warning: Spoilers ahead. Newell also dived in to the mystery of it all, and claimed there is still so much we don’t know about this iconic franchise. “That relationship between Allison [Janney] and Elizabeth Perkins’ character? So crazed,” they said. “Also, I genuinely still don’t know who killed Henry Golding in the movie… and who takes care of Nikki now?”

    The Power of Saying No

Newell’s journey has been nonstop since their early days on Glee, where they helped bring meaningful representation to primetime TV. “It wasn’t really just about being able to sing, dance, and act,” they said of the experience. “It was kind of like being able to give into the process… there’s such a freedom to that.”

That openness has served them well. Recently, they’ve wrapped Broadway, filmed a movie, released a concert on Audible, and graced the Met Gala steps in a Christian Siriano gown inspired by the legendary André Leon Talley. But even with all the hustle, they’ve learned when to say no.

“I had to turn down Glastonbury,” Newell shared. “I was on a mini tour with Clean Bandit in the UK and I got sick… But I do listen to my body. My body’s just like, no babes, we can’t do it.”

Speaking of saying no, we asked Alex what simple favor is too far and their answer was kind of iconic.

“Some simple favors you can agree to,” Newell said. “But some are not. Non-negotiables.” The one they’ll never do? “Threesomes. Never do that as a simple favor. It’s not simple—it’s convoluted.”

Still, they admit it’s part of the queer experience. “I think that is the bedrock of the LGBTQIA+ community. I think that’s what Pride is made of.”

Celebrating Queer Joy, Loud and Unapologetic

Going into Pride Month, the singer said they’re looking forward to having those tough conversations.

“I am looking forward to growing as a community, especially in these perilous times and what that means for us going forward. How we’ll rally and try not to be divided in a lot of things, even though some division is already starting to start, but how quickly we can shut that down. I’m excited for that conversation.”

  • Frankie Grande Finds His True Self with Debut Album ‘Hotel Rock Bottom’ and Queer Anthem ‘Boys’

Frankie Grande Finds His True Self with Debut Album ‘Hotel Rock Bottom’ and Queer Anthem ‘Boys’

Frankie Grande is stepping into his own with the release of his debut album Hotel Rock Bottom, set to drop on June 27, 2025, via Casablanca Records. Ahead of the album, he’s unleashed the unapologetically queer single “Boys,” which is already setting dance floors ablaze with its infectious beat and flirty lyrics. “Boys” is a bold reimagining of Cyndi Lauper’s classic “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” now turned into a summer anthem for queer joy. “It’s my unapologetically queer twist on a pop classic—because boys just wanna get some!” Frankie shared, adding that the track was inspired by a “magical trip to Fire Island for Pride where I felt totally free, fierce, and fabulous.”

    A Steamy Visual Celebration

The music video, produced in partnership with MISTR, the largest LGBTQ+ telehealth platform for sexual health, is a visual celebration of queer joy and representation. Directed by MISTR’s creative director Philip Henry and edited by Ron Katagiri, the video showcases steamy scenes bouncing between a gym and sauna, dripping with wild choreography and sensuality. It also features a cameo from trans model and actor Laith Ashley as one of Frankie’s “boys.” Grande playfully explained the concept’s inspiration, saying, “I was in Equinox and doing my makeup in the mirror, and there were all these very straight-presenting men flexing…and then they would go fuck in the steam room. So I was like, this is the music video.”

    Discovering the Real Frankie

This new era for Frankie marks a pivotal moment in his career. Known for his roles on Big Brother, Broadway’s Mamma Mia, and his larger-than-life personality on social media, Hotel Rock Bottom is Frankie’s most personal project yet. “This is the first time that people are really getting to know just pure Frankie. And there’s a lot to learn, and I’m excited for people to go on that journey,” he said. His sister, Ariana Grande, even remarked that she was thrilled for the world to finally see the real Frankie, describing the album as “so authentically you.”

Reflecting on the journey to his debut, Frankie revealed, “I didn’t know that I had all of these stories that needed to be told through music bubbling right under the surface. But once I popped the surface, it all came out.” For Grande, Hotel Rock Bottom isn’t just an album—it’s a testament to survival, growth, and pure queer joy. His journey to sobriety and self-discovery pulses through tracks like “Rhythm of Love,” “Cognitive Dissonance,” and the titular “Hotel Rock Bottom,” which he describes as a reminder of the lowest point in his life that led to his decision to get sober.

Pride, Performance, and Pure Queer Joy

Frankie will be taking Hotel Rock Bottom on the road, with appearances at OUTLOUD Music Festival at WeHo Pride alongside queer icons Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and Kim Petras, followed by another performance in Boston on June 21. For Frankie, this new era is more than just music—it’s a celebration of survival, freedom, and unapologetic queerness. “I am representing for the community that has saved my life so many times, and I just feel really grateful today.”

This is Camp’s first public relationship with a woman, and the actress is embracing it fully. “It’s great,” she recently said, adding that she’s never been happier.

  • Cynthia Erivo to Star in Bold One-Woman Dracula Adaptation on West End

Cynthia Erivo to Star in Bold One-Woman Dracula Adaptation on West End

    A Gothic Classic Reimagined

Cynthia Erivo is set to sink her teeth into a new challenge as she takes on 23 characters in a solo adaptation of Dracula for London’s West End. Directed and adapted by Kip Williams, best known for his “cine-theatre” approach in The Picture of Dorian Gray, this one-woman show promises to blend live performance with pre-recorded video, offering a fresh, modern twist on Bram Stoker’s gothic masterpiece.

The production will debut at the Noël Coward Theatre on February 4, 2026, and will run for a limited 16-week engagement through May 31, 2026. Williams’ adaptation explores fear, desire, and the monster lurking within us all, with Erivo playing every role—from the infamous Count Dracula to Jonathan Harker, Mina Murray, and even Professor Van Helsing. If there’s anyone who can pull off 23 personalities and still leave the audience begging for more, it’s Erivo.

Erivo’s Grand Return to the Stage

This marks Erivo’s first major return to the stage since her Tony-winning performance in The Color Purple. Reflecting on the role, she described the opportunity as a “rare gift,” acknowledging the challenge and excitement of embodying so many characters.

“Returning to the stage feels like a homecoming, one that I’ve been craving for a long time. To do so with a story as rich, complex, and haunting as Dracula offers a beautiful opportunity to delve into character, into myth, and into the heart of what makes us human,” Erivo said in a statement.

“From the moment I was asked, I could not get the role out of my mind. Kip’s vision is thrilling, terrifying, and deeply resonant, offering a chance to sit with not only the darkness in the world, but also the light we fight to hold onto.

“It’s a rare gift for an actor to inhabit so many voices and perspectives in one piece, and I’m honoured to do it for West End audiences in this extraordinary production. The prospect of doing this show scares me and I know it will be a huge challenge. This show will ask everything of me — and I’m ready to give it.”

    A Singular Theatrical Experience

The Dracula adaptation also features an original song composed by Clemence Williams, adding a haunting musical element to the show. The creative team includes several collaborators from Dorian Gray, promising a seamless blend of innovative visuals and gripping storytelling.

Tickets for Dracula are expected to go on sale later this year. With Erivo’s magnetic presence and Williams’ visionary direction, this is set to be one of the most talked-about theatrical events of 2026.

Mark your calendars now—this is one bite you won’t want to miss.

  • Griffin Matthews Reflects on Colman Domingo’s Impact and Career-Changing Advice

Griffin Matthews Reflects on Colman Domingo’s Impact and Career-Changing Advice

Griffin Matthews knows the power of representation—and he’s got a mentor who’s been paving the way for years: Colman Domingo. The two actors share more than just screen credits; they share a bond built on mutual respect, artistic ambition, and an unapologetic embrace of Black queer visibility in Hollywood.

We sat down with Matthews to talk about his role in the final season of Netflix’s thriller You, but it quickly turned into a Colman Domingo fan club moment. Because how could it not?

“I just finished Coleman’s series—all that Coleman Domingo is doing. That is what I want to do,” Matthews told Gayety. “The career that Coleman Domingo is having is absolutely incredible.”

    Netflix

    How One Conversation Changed Everything

Both Matthews and Domingo have stepped into the shoes of civil rights leader Bayard Rustin—but in two very different ways. Domingo portrayed Rustin in Netflix’s Rustin, a 2024 biopic produced by Higher Ground Productions that earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. His performance brought Rustin’s legacy to life, spotlighting his role in organizing the 1963 March on Washington and his activism as an openly gay Black man.

For Matthews, the opportunity came through Genius: MLK/X, the fourth season of National Geographic’s acclaimed anthology series. The series, which premiered in February 2024, explored the lives of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, with Matthews taking on the role of Rustin.

When Matthews first got the audition for Genius, he wasn’t sure he was ready. “I was like, ‘Colman, they want me to audition for Bayard. I’m not ready. I can’t do it. I don’t think that they’re going to see me as Bayard,’” Matthews recalled.

Domingo’s response was instant and impactful. “He was like, ‘Griffin, you can do it. You have a European-ness about you, like James Baldwin… You’ve got that dandy thing,’” Matthews said. “And I got the job literally days later.”

That vote of confidence wasn’t just a boost—it was a turning point. “We have touch-base sessions with each other where we just talk about the business and our lives inside of the business. I count him as a friend and a mentor,” Matthews said.

Fashion as a Form of Liberation

Domingo’s influence isn’t limited to acting. His bold fashion choices have also inspired Matthews to take up space unapologetically. At a recent lunch, Domingo told him something that stuck:

“I don’t think he’d mind that I’m sharing this, but he said to me, ‘I dress for all of us. I dress for you, and I dress for all of the Black men that are trying to elevate,’” Matthews shared.

“It’s not just for him. It is giving me a window to go, I can wear a yellow suit on the red carpet because Colman is doing all of those things,” Matthews said. “I think I can walk in here with this yellow suit, and I don’t think people are going to go, ‘What is he doing?’ I think we’re going, ‘Yeah, that’s what we’re all doing now.’”

    Shutterstock

A Dream to Lead—and to Disrupt

With Domingo’s mentorship lighting the way, Matthews is ready to take his own path forward. “I want to lead a series. It hasn’t happened yet. I’ve been in the business for 20-plus years, and I tend to play the position of the disruptor. And I would love to lead a series where people get to peer into the world of what it actually is to be a gay Black man living in 2025,” he said.

He’s clear on his goal: to tell stories that go beyond surface representation and into the real lives of queer Black men. “We have to start to not just have these characters in place, but we’ve got to go home with them so we can really know what’s happening behind those closed doors,” Matthews explained.

Matthews credits Domingo for showing him what’s possible. “He’s a real artist. A real one,” he said proudly. “Anything he’s doing, I want to be part of it.”

Spice Girls Tease 30th Anniversary Reunion—But Will Posh Join the Party?

Get ready to zig-a-zig-ah again—because the Spice Girls are cooking up a comeback.

A World Tour in the Works

Nearly 30 years after their debut single “Wannabe” turned them into global icons, the legendary girl group is reportedly in talks for a 2026 world tour, according to The Sun. Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B, and Mel C are said to be considering hitting the road to celebrate their milestone anniversary—with or without Posh.

The buzz picked up after Geri reconnected with longtime Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller, and the two are rumored to be meeting in Miami this week to brainstorm ideas. Geri will be in town supporting her husband, F1 boss Christian Horner, at the Grand Prix—while Fuller also scored an invite from Red Bull.

Mel C, never one to keep fans waiting, teased the possible reunion back in March during an interview on Australia’s 2Day FM. “We have to do something special,” she said. “Obviously I can’t say too much but we are talking about things. Hopefully a nice little world tour!”

    Victoria Beckham: In or Out?

Victoria Beckham has told friends she’s “90 percent out of the running,” The Sun reports, but sources say she may still make a limited appearance, possibly through a digital avatar or one-off moment. “She would always want to honor the girls’ history,” a source shared.

    A Legacy of Girl Power

The Spice Girls last performed together in 2019—minus Victoria—on a sold-out UK and Ireland stadium tour, selling over 700,000 tickets and earning around £4.4 million each. Before that, their last major performance was at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.

Whether or not all five Spices are back on stage, fans can already feel the girl power brewing. Stay tuned—this reunion could be the spiciest one yet.

The Spice Girls are a British pop phenomenon who burst onto the scene in 1996 with their debut single “Wannabe,” promoting messages of empowerment, individuality, and “girl power.” The group—made up of Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Geri Halliwell/Horner (Ginger Spice), and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice)—quickly rose to global fame. They sold over 100 million records, scored nine No. 1 singles in the UK, and became cultural icons of the late ’90s before Geri’s departure in 1998 and their eventual hiatus.

‘White Lotus’ Star Jon Gries Gets Playful — and Shirtless — in New Jacquemus Campaign

You’ve never seen Greg from The White Lotus like this.

Jon Gries, best known for his role as the scheming Greg Hunt (aka “Gary”) in HBO’s The White Lotus, is turning heads in a way fans didn’t see coming. At 67, the veteran actor has stripped down — literally — for a vibrant and cheeky new fashion campaign by Jacquemus, and let’s just say… he’s giving “daddy” in a way that even Tanya McQuoid might appreciate.

The French label, known for its surrealist flair and viral runway moments, tapped Gries for a campaign that feels like a crossover between high fashion and a quirky daydream. In the photos, Gries is seen shirtless, banana-print boxers peeking out from under his low-rise jeans, topped with a Jacquemus jacket and a bold sunhat. He’s serving laid-back louche meets European vacation dad — and it works.

In another image, he’s seen golfing in loungewear, nibbling on an actual banana, or lounging while fully suited. It’s an unexpected, joyful twist on masculinity, and Gries leans into the moment with a confidence and charm that reminds us: aging is not the enemy — especially not in fashion.

A Gay Icon in the Making?

While Greg Hunt may not have officially come out on The White Lotus, queer fans of the show have long speculated about his sexuality — and his motivations. In season two, his relationship with the flamboyant Quentin (played by Tom Hollander) raised more than a few eyebrows. By season three, Greg is reportedly dating a young model named Chloe (played by Charlotte Le Bon) while engaging in voyeuristic fantasies involving other men.

Is Greg queer? The show doesn’t give us a straight answer (no pun intended), but Jon Gries has acknowledged that Greg is complex and morally gray. “He has no interest in having friendships,” Gries said in a previous interview. “Everything was on a contract basis with him. He wants control.”

Queer-coded villain? Repressed bisexual? Emotionally unavailable straight man? Whatever Greg is, he’s messy — and we love that for him.

And while Gries isn’t explicitly discussing sexuality in this campaign, the visual language is deeply queer. Banana motifs? A little skin? Gender play with clothing and presentation? Check, check, and check. In fact, the shoot feels like a wink to queer fans who’ve had their eye on Greg (or at least his motives) since season one.

Jacquemus Knows the Gays Are Watching

Jacquemus, founded by Simon Porte Jacquemus in 2009, has long drawn inspiration from queer culture and art. The label blends high fashion with humor, minimalism with excess, and classic French silhouettes with Mediterranean warmth. Think: camp meets couture. Past campaigns have included same-sex couples, sensuality across the gender spectrum, and a healthy dose of absurdity — so casting Jon Gries? Inspired.

According to Jacquemus’ official brand description, the label “references a French way of life and universal gestures of beauty: from fine art photography to the decorative arts, cinema, painting, and sculpture.” The Gries campaign adds a dose of generational appeal and an “older man chic” energy that’s often missing from mainstream fashion campaigns.

It’s refreshing to see a brand so openly embrace an unconventional muse, especially one who defies the usual standards of youth, abs, and influencer clout. Gries may not be the first person who comes to mind when you think of high fashion — but maybe that’s the point.

Greg Is the Only Constant in ‘The White Lotus’ Universe

Gries remains the only actor to appear in all three seasons of The White Lotus, and his character’s evolution (or, arguably, unraveling) has become one of the show’s juiciest subplots. His first-season arc saw him fall into a whirlwind romance with Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge, in her Emmy-winning role). Season two pulled back the curtain to reveal something far more sinister — and possibly queer — beneath the surface.

Season three, which premieres later this year, promises even more twists. Rumor has it Greg is dating a model and exploring a cuckolding kink that involves watching her with other men. Honestly? That’s growth — in a very White Lotus kind of way.

    Queer Aging, Reframed

Gries’ campaign arrives at a time when conversations around aging — particularly in queer and fashion spaces — are becoming more visible. There’s often a toxic emphasis on youth in both industries, but campaigns like this one help shift the narrative. You don’t have to be 25 with a six-pack to be sexy, stylish, or subversive.

In fact, Gries’ presence in the campaign challenges outdated standards of desirability. He’s not the punchline — he’s the look. And that, especially for queer audiences who are used to seeing older men erased or mocked, feels radical.

Whether or not Greg Hunt is gay, and whether or not Jon Gries is on your fashion radar, one thing is clear: the man knows how to serve a look. And in the world of Jacquemus, that’s more than enough.

In the words of Tanya McQuoid: “You’re not just a pretty face… but you’re definitely not boring.”
