Meet the New Drag Queens Hosting Season Four of HBO’s ‘We’re Here’
RuPaul’s Drag Race fans, brace yourselves for a season full of new faces and fresh energy.
The iconic trio of Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela, and Eureka, who led We’re Here to two Emmy wins in its first three seasons, will not return for the upcoming season. But fear not, as three remarkable queens will be taking the reins: Sasha Velour, the winner of Drag Race season 9; Jaida Essence Hall, who claimed victory in season 12 and dazzled in All Stars 7; and Priyanka, the reigning queen of Canada’s Drag Race season 1.
The news, which EW first reported, had show co-creator Johnnie Ingram expressing gratitude to HBO for their commitment to LGBTQ+ storytelling. In an Instagram post, Ingram wrote, “In this increasingly hostile political climate, we are grateful to [HBO] for their dedication to telling LGBTQ+ stories that meet the moment and document our history. We are thrilled to expand our drag family and grateful for and give much-needed love to the people on the front lines of hate.”
Bob, Shangela, and Eureka also issued a joint statement following EW‘s report, expressing their gratitude for the past three seasons of the show. “We are extremely grateful for the opportunity we had the past three seasons to travel across the country, share our experiences, and connect with all of the courageous individuals who entrusted us with their stories,” they said. “Our journey has inspired hope and sparked important conversations while empowering unique voices and opening new doors. As we move forward with our exciting individual projects, we welcome Sasha Velour, Priyanka, and Jaida Essence Hall, and wish them the best on continuing this work during an increasingly difficult time for the LGBTQ+ community.”
What is We’re Here All About
In each episode of We’re Here, which first premiered on HBO in 2020, these extraordinary queens embark on a cross-country journey, spreading their vibrant drag culture to the far corners of the United States. Their mission? To unearth hidden gems in small-town America and invite residents to step out of their comfort zones for an unforgettable night of full-on, no-holds-barred drag performances.
However, the series faced controversy when former assistant Daniel McGarrigle accused Shangela of rape in a hotel room in February 2020. Shangela, also known as Darius Jeremy “DJ” Pierce, vehemently denied the allegations after McGarrigle filed a lawsuit. In a statement to EW, Shangela expressed disgust, stating that the claims were personally offensive and perpetuated harmful stereotypes. Shangela clarified that an external investigation had previously found the claims to be baseless, dismissing the latest lawsuit as an attempt to extort both Shangela and the reputable television company.
A premiere date for season four of We’re Here has yet to be announced, but fans can anticipate a thrilling new chapter in the show’s ongoing legacy.

Everyone is Shirtless and Sweaty in Troye Sivan’s ‘Rush’ Music Video
Troye Sivan’s “Rush” music video is a sweaty, sultry display of queer joy.
Troye Sivan has edged us long enough. The “Angel Baby” singer has finally released his new single and music video for his highly anticipated track, “Rush.” Fans have already named it the gay bop anthem of the summer. We second that.
In the video, the singer is surrounded by hot bodies as he grinds, sways, smokes, and sings with the crowd. He’s also seen dangling over a keg, peering through a glory hole, and making out with multiple men.
Troye Sivan is Back With a New Album
Along with the video and single release, Sivan announced the title and release date of his new album, Something to Give Each Other. It will be available to purchase and stream on Friday, October 13. This is the 28-year-olds third studio album, following Blue Neighborhood and Bloom.
The cover for Something to Give Each Other shows a shirtless Sivan laughing joyfully with his head pressed between two bare thighs.
Credit: Instagram/@troyesivan “This album is my something to give you – a kiss on a dancefloor, a date turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer. Party after party, after party after after party. Heartbreak, freedom. Community, sisterhood, friendship. All that,” he wrote on Instagram.
Many queer celebs have flocked to Sivan’s comment section to praise the new release. Wednesday star Hunter Doohan wrote, “obsessed,” while longtime friend Tyler Oakley said, “A TRIUMPH!! the song, the video, the vibe… you nailed it!!”
What is “Rush” All About
In a statement, Troye described “Rush” as “the feeling of kissing a sweaty stranger on a dancefloor, a two-hour date that turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer”.
“Party after party, after party after after party,” he added. “All of my experiences from a chapter where I feel confident, free and liberated. Independent, yet somehow the most connected to the music and community around me.”
The “Rush” music video was directed by Gordon von Steiner and choreographed by Sergio Reis. Watch the full video below.

From Wizards to OnlyFans: Former Disney Star Dan Benson Reveals What He’ll Never Do on the Adult App
Disney star Dan Benson dishes on what he will and will not do on his OnlyFans account.
Dan Benson is known for portraying Zeke Beakerman on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place alongside Selena Gomez and Hayley Kiyoko. He played the best friend of David Henrie’s Justin Russo. His character was an adorably nerdy brainiac who loved robots and aliens. So when word got around that he started an OnlyFans account, it took the public by surprise.
Starting an OnlyFans
Benson is not afraid to show some skin online. The former Disney actor has been sharing explicit content on the OnlyFans app for a while now. From nude silhouettes to steamy photos in bondage, Benson has made a name for himself through his sex appeal. However, he has unveiled the boundary he refuses to cross in his newfound profession as a successful creator in the adult film industry.
“I won’t engage in on-camera sex with men just because it’s what everyone wants to see,” he told Page Six. Reflecting on his decision, he expressed, “I don’t want to look back in 10 years and realize that I made money and gained fame solely through compromising my comfort.”
The Power of Gay Twitter
Benson admits that his audience is made up of a large percentage of gay men. He even thanked “gay twitter” for helping to launch his profile. Because of this, the 35-year-old pledged online to donate to his fans’ favorite LGBTQIA+ charities.
Benson went on to tell Page Six that as a heterosexual man, he felt “very comfortable” producing content for gay men, occasionally catering to their specific desires.
“I genuinely understand their preferences and what attracts gay men,” he elaborated. Delving deeper, he addressed certain misconceptions surrounding sexuality, stating, “There’s an unjust perception that straight men should feel uneasy discussing their enjoyment of anal stimulation.”
He continued, “There’s an immense stigma suggesting that any association with deriving pleasure from such acts automatically defines one as gay, which is entirely false.”
How Benson Fell Into Adult Film
Benson also recounted how his foray into the adult film industry was unintentional, resulting from several instances of catfishing.
“It was only months later that I discovered my nude photos had been leaked online,” he said. “To my surprise, these images and videos were being sold on various websites.”
This discovery prompted Benson to reclaim control by establishing an OnlyFans account. “As I grew to understand and embrace my own sexuality, the thought of expressing it publicly no longer frightened me,” he shared.
