JoJo Siwa Talks Gay Awakening In Viral TikTok Trend Video
One thing about JoJo Siwa is…
Superstar JoJo Siwa is jumping on a viral TikTok trend and sharing her gay awakening story. For anyone unfamiliar, the trend calls for people to share personal stories from their life, but to do it to music. An instrumental version of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl,” to be specific. Every story starts with the person saying, “One thing about me…”
In Siwa’s case, her story is about the celebrities that helped her discover her sexuality and her first date with a boy.
View this post on Instagram“One thing about me is that when I was twelve, Demi Lovato came out with the song ‘Cool for the Summer,” she raps to the beat. “I really really liked it and listened to it all the time.”

Siwa also admitted to not understanding all of the sapphic themes of the song (Got my mind on your body and your body on my mind. Got a taste for the cherry, I just need to take a bite”). However, she clarified that she does understand the song now. The video even caught the attention of Lovato, and she replied with three laughing emojis shortly after the post was shared.
Siwa then shares the next pivotal moment in her journey, Jenna Dewan’s Magic Mike performance on Lip Sync Battle. “I pretty much watched it every day. Little me, she didn’t know she was gay!” she joked.

Nope, it wasn’t until Siwa went out on her first date that she realized she wasn’t attracted to men. According to her story, she was a couple of years older when she went out with a guy. He wanted something more from the date, but she did not.
“And he wanted to have sex with me, and I did not want to, never wanted to, grossed out by the thought of it, immediately knew men are not my thing. Women are my gig. Gotta go.”

The “Boomerang” singer is currently dating TikToker Avery Cyrus. The couple went under the radar for a while and even made jokes about people speculating about their relationship before they went public last month.
View this post on Instagram“Happiest Girl,” Siwa wrote on TikTok and shared a video of her and Cyrus kissing in a Chuck E. Cheese photo booth.
Siwa came out as LGBTQ in January 2021 through a series of posts made on social media. She later clarified to People that she identifies as pansexual. “… because that’s how I have always been my whole life is just like, my human is my human.”

You ain’t never met a b**ch like Bob The Drag Queen. The alter ego of non-binary actor, comedian, and musician, Caldwell Tidicue, “Bob The Drag Queen” is drag royalty. She is best known for winning the 8th season of Ru Paul’s Drag Race. Hot off of her rise to TikTok stardom, Bob’s new single Bitch Like Me dropped today. The video itself draws inspiration from her popular “interrupting” series, with seamless TikTok transitions. The video was shot on iPhone and pays homage to this new art form.

Where You See A Void, You Fill It.
“I really genuinely just love TikTok,” says Bob. “Even if I had no followers, I’d still probably spend a lot of time on there scrolling and double tapping.” The season 8 Drag Race winner forged a path of her own by filming entirely in a vertical aspect ratio. “I remember googling if there was a ‘vertical music video’ or a ‘TikTok music video’ and I hadn’t seen one yet.” Rather than becoming discouraged, Bob thought, “Where you see a void, you fill it.”
View this post on InstagramThe song draws from a long history of Drag anthems but turns up the energy, flexing Bob’s rapping skills. Bitch Like Me is at once drag, rap, unapologetically queer, and the perfect fit for a TikTok-inspired music video. Bob worked with producer/songwriter Ocean Kelly, songwriter Christopher Caldwell, and director Assaad Yacoub to realize his vision. “I wrote all of my own lyrics,” said Bob. “But being in a studio you really confer and converse with everyone there.”
The Queen of TikTok
Bob stole the hearts of 2.7 million TikTok fans with a series where she interrupts the transitions of her fellow Drag Race alum, Plastique Tiara. The series continued to grow until no one was safe. Not even the Drag mother herself, RuPaul.
Earlier this month, Bob created a TikTok encouraging the girls, gays, and theys to show off their rap skills. “Somebody tried to tell me the girls, gays, and theys don’t got bars,” Bob explains over a familiar backtrack. “I was like, explain this,” says Bob as he offers the mic to the camera, encouraging folks to duet. Hundreds of girls, gays, and theys joined the trend, including Drag Race fan favorite Alaska Thunderfuck. The video finishes off with a bar from Bitch Like Me, cleverly teasing the upcoming release.
Now that you’ve been primed, it’s time to meet that b**ch, Bob The Drag Queen. Check out the music video below, and follow Bob for more effortlessly viral moments.
