At 31 years old, the LA-born Idaho-raised New York transplant has created an extraordinary collection of art. “My interest centers around appreciating diversity and enriching societal narrative through artistic ritual,” he wrote on his website. “Decoration, particularly of the human body, holds powerful emotional and cultural significance, deepening our experience.”
He continued: “As a mixed-race, queer individual, I teeter on the outskirts of many cultures, looking on, observing patterns. Largely, tradition informs identity, and perspective is thoroughly rooted in a social context. Rarely do we reconsider these confines, much less define our own.”
