Halsey is getting candid about how their prior job history.
Halsey took to Twitter over the weekend to answer fans’ questions. One person asked if Halsey had any “normal jobs” before becoming a Grammy-Award nominated pop star.

What Were Halsey’s Normal Jobs?
The “Darling” singer said they had “loads” of “normal” jobs, including one where she took photos for driver licenses at the DMV. A fan followed up, asking if Halsey would let people re-take their pictures if they didn’t like their photograph. Halsey replied, “Hell yeah, I was always the go-to for that.”

Halsey says they try their best now that they are the CEO of several businesses. “It’s weird I’m half “grew up lower middle class on free lunch” half “I run multiple LLCs and corporations with 100s of people on the payroll,” they explained. “So I’m constantly absorbing what NOT to do.”

Halsey said they focused on running their businesses ethically. One fan asked, “what are some of the things you have the power and privilege to do right for your employees that you hadn’t even thought of when starting businesses?”
To which Halsey said, “I paid my employees through the pandemic even when there was no work, pay for IVF and fertility treatments, demand diversity on all sets, give paid mental health time, amongst other things as they appear per each individual’s unique circumstances. It’s really whatever I can do.”
