  • Lorde’s Sister Indy Yelich Unveils Fame Is a Bedroom, an Intimate EP on Love and Queer Identity (Exclusive)

Lorde’s Sister Indy Yelich Unveils Fame Is a Bedroom, an Intimate EP on Love and Queer Identity (Exclusive)

Indie-pop singer and songwriter Indy Yelich is preparing to share a side of herself few have heard before. Her forthcoming EP, Fame Is a Bedroom, set for release on August 1, captures deeply personal stories of identity, relationships and growing up in the long shadow of fame.

Yelich, known as Lorde’s younger sister, took Gayety by the hand this week to reflect on what inspired this candid collection of songs. In an exclusive interview, she revealed that she composed much of the EP in real time, documenting experiences as they were unfolding.

“This is my most personal record yet,” Yelich said. “I wrote these tracks while living them. It feels like a sonic goodbye to big relationships and past parts of myself. Releasing it now just feels right.”

Sail Away: A Song of Queer Friendship and Lost Love

One of the most compelling tracks, “Sail Away,” delves into the complexity of a queer relationship that blurred the line between friendship and romance. Yelich says she drew on her own experiences—sharing beds, heartfelt conversations and an unspoken longing.

“It’s about someone I was very close to, maybe even in love with, and those feelings were never mutual,” she explained. “Queer friendships like that can be haunting. You lose a friend, a lover and a confidante all at once.”

Inspired partly by Chappell Roan’s Good Luck Babe, “Sail Away” explores the uncharted emotional terrain of female intimacy and same-sex longing. Through its haunting melody and reflective lyrics, the song captures the push and pull of bonds that are difficult to define.

    A Bedroom Full of Memories

The EP’s title, Fame Is a Bedroom, echoes its intimate tone. Yelich describes the bedroom as her creative cocoon – a space for writing, crying, healing and self-reflection.

“My bedroom is where I do everything—rest, dream, talk on the phone. It’s private, messy and sacred all at once,” she said. “These songs are conversations I’ve had behind closed doors.”

Each song unpacks a piece of her story, from her first move to New York at 18 to coming to terms with her queer identity and navigating emotional entanglements.

    Influences That Shaped the Sound

Musically, Fame Is a Bedroom features lush, atmospheric production guided by influences like Mk.gee, Holly Humberstone, Ethel Cain, Bon Iver, Billie Marten, Gigi Perez and Chappell Roan. Yelich aimed for songs that breathed – where lyrics and arrangement had room to evoke mood and memory.

“These artists inspired me to make space in my music for vulnerability,” she said. “I wanted the EP to feel moody, emotional and human.”

    Queer Voice Center Stage

Fame Is a Bedroom speaks to queer audiences through its exploration of female friendship, longing and the evolving understanding of sexuality. Yelich, who came out at age 19, says her identity is inseparable from her creative expression.

“These songs are rooted in women’s lives—my own, my sisters’ and friends’. I often write to figure things out,” she said.

She hopes listeners will find resonance in the silences, the questions and the spaces between words—moments where identity forms and fractures.

    Lessons Learned Through Heartbreak

Yelich says emotional honesty and self-awareness were essential to writing this EP. She credits painful breakups and friendships for prompting personal growth.

“Loss demands introspection. I had to own my part in letting go. Working on attachment and setting boundaries has helped me develop stronger relationships.”

On emotional boundaries, she admits it’s a work in progress. Communication and self-care, she says, are ongoing practices.

    Growing Up as Lorde’s Sister

The shadow of fame has shaped Yelich’s life from a young age. As Lorde’s sister, she faced inevitable public scrutiny—search engines knew her address and her family biography.

“It’s weird to be a teenager with your life already cataloged online,” she recalled. “You learn to develop thick skin early. Fame opened doors for my music, and I’m grateful. Still, this EP was about being heard for myself.”

She acknowledges the challenge of carving a creative identity that stands apart from her famous sibling.

“I come from a family of writers. Music was always in me. Trusting my own voice—without comparison—became my North Star.”

    A Farewell and a Beginning

Fame Is a Bedroom wraps up a chapter in Yelich’s life, offering a space to process and let go. At the same time, it serves as a bold announcement of her artistic independence and personal evolution.

With songs about codependency, heartbreak and sisterhood, Yelich has created a collection that is vulnerable, relatable and emotionally rich. Her voice, both lyrical and literal, asserts itself with quiet power.

The EP will be available August 1 across all streaming platforms. For queer pop and intimate storytelling that resonates with real lived experience, Fame Is a Bedroom is poised to be a landmark moment.

  • Miley Cyrus Teases Big Plans for Hannah Montana’s 20th Anniversary

Miley Cyrus Teases Big Plans for Hannah Montana’s 20th Anniversary

It’s been nearly 20 years since Hannah Montana first hit Disney Channel, and Miley Cyrus says she’s ready to mark the occasion in a big way.

During a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio, the 32-year-old singer and actress revealed she has something “really, really special” in mind for the beloved character’s milestone anniversary.

    A Role That Changed Everything

Cyrus rose to fame playing Miley Stewart, a teenager leading a double life as a regular high schooler by day and global pop star Hannah Montana by night. The series ran from 2006 to 2011 and quickly became a pop culture phenomenon, launching Cyrus into global superstardom.

Reflecting on the role, Cyrus said, “Without Hannah, there really wouldn’t be this kind of… this me,” acknowledging just how foundational the show was to her current career.

Last year, she became the youngest person ever named a Disney Legend, a rare honor that recognizes individuals who’ve made an enduring impact on the company’s legacy. Naturally, the role of Hannah played a big part in that.

From Teen Icon to Timeless Nostalgia

In her SiriusXM interview, Cyrus expressed genuine excitement about revisiting the world of Hannah Montana. “It’s so crazy to think I started as a character that I thought would be impossible to shed,” she said. “Now, she’s become a part of so many people’s childhoods, something nostalgic rather than limiting.”

Cyrus said she’s looking forward to celebrating the character, especially as so many fans who grew up with Hannah Montana are now adults. “I’ve now been kind of integrated into everyone’s life as the character itself. So that’s exciting to get to celebrate that.”

    “This Is the Life”

While accepting her Disney Legend award in 2024, Cyrus dedicated the honor to her iconic alter ego and her fans. “In so many ways, this award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing, loyal fans… To quote the legend herself, ‘This is the life.’”

Cyrus previously told fans she’s open to revisiting the character, saying in a 2020 interview, “I try to put that wig on all the time… She’s just in storage collecting dust, and I’m ready to whip her out.”

She added that if Hannah were to return, she’d definitely need a style upgrade: “She’s kinda stuck in 2008, so we’ll need to go shopping with Miss Montana.”

    What’s Next for Hannah?

Cyrus hasn’t confirmed any official plans, but her remarks suggest fans should keep their eyes peeled for a heartfelt, possibly glamorously chaotic tribute to the girl who gave them the best of both worlds.

Whether it’s a one-off reunion, a musical tribute, or even a full-fledged reboot, one thing is clear: Miley is ready to shine that spotlight on Hannah once again.

  • Beyoncé Makes History Again as Cowboy Carter Tour Becomes Highest-Grossing Country Tour of All Time

Beyoncé Makes History Again as Cowboy Carter Tour Becomes Highest-Grossing Country Tour of All Time

Beyoncé has once again proven why she reigns supreme in the music world. Her Cowboy Carter Tour has officially shattered records, becoming the highest-grossing country tour in history — and doing it in record time.

According to Billboard, the 35-time Grammy Award winner grossed a staggering $407.6 million across just 32 shows in nine cities, with more than 1.6 million tickets sold. This landmark accomplishment cements Cowboy Carter not only as a musical triumph but also as a cultural movement redefining country music’s boundaries.

The tour, which launched earlier this year in support of Beyoncé’s genre-blending 2024 country album Cowboy Carter, is now the shortest tour in history to gross over $400 million. In an industry where high tour revenues usually rely on long global runs, Beyoncé has again broken the mold — and the ceiling.

Beyoncé kicked off her Cowboy Carter tour in Paris on Juneteenth with a surprise duet with Miley Cyrus. Here’s everything that went down.
Beyoncé kicked off her Cowboy Carter tour in Paris on Juneteenth with a surprise duet with Miley Cyrus.

    A Tour Like No Other

The Cowboy Carter Tour hit major cities across North America, including Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Houston, Washington, D.C., Dallas, and Atlanta, before heading to Europe for sold-out shows in London and Paris. Beyoncé wrapped the tour with a powerful final performance in Las Vegas on July 26, which included a surprise Destiny’s Child reunion that sent fans into a frenzy.

Her three-hour set featured over 40 songs and included appearances from some of the biggest names in music and pop culture. Special guests throughout the tour included her husband Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, Nigerian-American country star Shaboozey, and international dance troupe The Mayyas. Her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, also made heartwarming cameos, bringing a family touch to the glittering spectacle.

Stage design included dazzling visuals: a towering red horseshoe, a gleaming mechanical gold horse, and even a lowrider convertible that Beyoncé used to command the stage with effortless Southern flair.

    More Than a Concert — A Statement

While the tour broke financial records, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter era has always been about more than numbers. The album, released in March 2024, was born out of an experience in which the singer felt rejected by the country music industry. Rather than stepping back, she leaned in — diving deep into the genre’s roots and crafting a body of work that highlighted the Black influence on country music, historically and currently.

“It was very clear that I wasn’t welcomed,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram at the time of the album’s release. “But because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of country music and studied our rich musical archive.”

She continued, “It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.”

Beyoncé also credited the criticism she received as fuel for creative expansion: “The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.”

A Grammy Milestone — and a Nod to the Past

That bold creative risk paid off. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Cowboy Carter took home three awards, including the coveted Album of the Year — a long-overdue win for Beyoncé, who had been nominated for the title four previous times.

In her emotional acceptance speech, Beyoncé thanked her team, collaborators, and fans, dedicating the win to Linda Martell, the first Black woman to chart in country music and a contributor to Cowboy Carter.

“Opening doors. God bless y’all. Thank you so much,” she said, looking visibly moved.

Martell, a pioneer whose impact was largely forgotten by the mainstream industry, was reintroduced to a new generation through Beyoncé’s platform — a testament to the singer’s ongoing commitment to honoring overlooked Black contributions in American music.

    Beyonce at the Grammys

Emmy Season Showdown: Bey vs. Jay

Up next for Beyoncé is another major awards night. She’s nominated at the 2025 Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) category for her Netflix Christmas Day halftime show, where she debuted live performances from Cowboy Carter. She’ll be going head-to-head with her husband Jay-Z, who is nominated for producing Kendrick Lamar’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The Emmy nod marks yet another recognition of Cowboy Carter’s impact, proving that the project’s reach has transcended music to become a broader cultural and artistic moment.

A New Era for Country Music?

Beyoncé’s success with Cowboy Carter has sparked conversations across the music industry, particularly within the country genre. Long criticized for its exclusionary practices, country music has slowly begun to diversify — but Beyoncé’s commanding entry into the space has forced a reckoning.

Her chart-topping success, critical acclaim, and record-breaking tour stand as a challenge to the genre’s gatekeepers, reminding both fans and institutions that country music’s future can — and should — be more inclusive.

As her golden horse rode across stages from Texas to the UK, Beyoncé wasn’t just making history — she was rewriting it.

  • Azealia Banks Sparks Backlash After Calling LGBTQ+ Identities ‘Not Natural’ in Controversial Post

Azealia Banks Sparks Backlash After Calling LGBTQ+ Identities ‘Not Natural’ in Controversial Post

Azealia Banks, the Harlem-born rapper once hailed as a rising star in hip-hop, is once again facing intense backlash — this time for making inflammatory comments about the LGBTQ+ community. In a now widely criticized post on X (formerly Twitter), Banks claimed that being gay or transgender is “not natural,” prompting swift condemnation from fans and LGBTQ+ advocates.

The comments were made in response to another user’s accusation that Banks was “rationalizing abuse” as a coping mechanism. In a repost, the 33-year-old rapper wrote:

“Well being gay and transgender is not actually a natural thing. At all, it’s a trauma response.

Science lied to you all and told you, you were normal but being homosexual and on the more extreme end — transgender in any regard is in fact — a trauma response.

No one is born gay, and no one is born in the wrong body. You guys have mental disorders that science is doing you guys a major disservice by not medicating.

    Bet you didn’t know that.”

Banks’ post quickly drew criticism across social media, with many users labeling the comments as hateful, transphobic, and scientifically inaccurate. LGBTQ+ organizations and allies were quick to respond, emphasizing that both homosexuality and gender diversity are naturally occurring and supported by decades of scientific and medical research.

To set the record straight: being LGBTQ+ is not a “trauma response.” Major health organizations — including the American Psychological Association, the World Health Organization, and the American Medical Association — have all affirmed that being gay, bisexual, or transgender is a normal variation of human sexuality and gender identity. There is no credible scientific evidence supporting Banks’ claims.

    “You outdo your own dumbassery”

The internet’s response to Banks’ remarks was swift and severe. “You outdo your own dumbassery every time you tweet, it’s actually impressive,” one user wrote. Another added, “It’s like you are purposely trying as hard as possible to be the most unlikable person in music.”

Others took the moment to call for accountability. Some fans pointed out that Banks has historically performed at LGBTQ+ events, including Pride festivals — most notably a now-infamous 2022 Miami Pride set, which ended prematurely when she stormed off stage after her mic was cut. Video footage from the event showed Banks throwing her microphone and exiting amid a chorus of boos.

“She has no business performing at any LGBTQ+ event ever again,” one commenter stated. “Stop giving her a platform in our spaces.”

    A History of Controversy

Banks’ latest statements are unfortunately not an isolated incident. Over the years, the artist has gained a reputation for incendiary behavior on and offline. While some moments have been dismissed as trolling or attention-seeking, others have crossed a line into openly offensive territory.

In 2020, she was suspended from Twitter for a series of posts calling for the cancelation of “luxury transgender healthcare,” an attack that was broadly denounced by advocates and medical professionals alike. Despite multiple bans from social media platforms, Banks has consistently returned through new accounts, often reengaging in the same pattern of behavior.

Banks has also feuded publicly with several high-profile figures in entertainment and tech, including Elon Musk, with whom she reportedly had a romantic connection in 2018. In between controversial takes and public fallouts, she’s occasionally garnered praise for speaking out on industry issues — but critics have long pointed out that moments of clarity are rare amid her increasingly polarizing rhetoric.

    Fans and Communities Distance Themselves

In light of her most recent comments, some LGBTQ+ fans say they’re finally done giving Banks another chance.

“She’s always been a ‘broken clock,’ but this crosses a line,” one user wrote, referencing the long-running sentiment that Banks is occasionally right — but usually for the wrong reasons. “There’s no reclaiming this. You don’t get to profit off queer people and then turn around and call them mentally ill.”

Others expressed frustration with platforms that continue to give Banks visibility, urging Pride organizers, music festivals, and media outlets to stop booking her altogether.

“It’s time to stop pretending she’s controversial or complicated,” said one LGBTQ+ content creator on TikTok. “She’s just spreading hate now. Period.”

  • Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, and Conan Gray Dance the Night Away at Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball

Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, and Conan Gray Dance the Night Away at Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball

Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball lived up to its name Sunday night, and the energy wasn’t just coming from the stage. A viral clip from her Los Angeles stop at the Kia Forum on July 28 shows pop besties Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, and Conan Gray living their absolute best lives during a performance of “Born This Way”—dancing, shouting lyrics, and clearly having, well, a ball.

The trio, all queer icons in their own right, were spotted in the crowd vibing out with euphoric abandon as Gaga belted her LGBTQ+ anthem. Fans online couldn’t get enough, with many commenting that this crossover of alt-pop royalty felt like witnessing the future of music partying with the queen of the movement.

    Gaga’s Trans-Inclusive Statement

While the crowd served up major energy, Gaga gave it right back with a high-camp, high-fashion spectacle only she could deliver. One of her standout looks during “Abracadabra” and “Judas” included a ruby-red ruffled gown, classic Gaga. But it was the added pink, white, and blue sash that caught attention, a sparkling nod to the trans pride flag and Gaga’s enduring support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Though fans speculated about a giant trans pride cape making an appearance, some of the photos floating online appear to be fan edits rather than the actual tour look. Still, the intention and visual symbolism were clear, and very Gaga.

    Even Nancy Pelosi Couldn’t Resist

Turns out Gaga’s Mayhem Ball has bi-partisan appeal. Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was in the audience at the tour’s San Francisco stop the night before, calling the concert “the most fun I’ve had in a long time.” Pelosi, attending with her husband Paul, reportedly danced the entire night and delighted fans with her unexpected appearance.

This wasn’t Pelosi’s first Gaga encounter either, she previously attended Gaga’s 2021 performance with Tony Bennett at Radio City Music Hall, proving once again that Gaga’s reach spans generations, party lines, and pop eras.

A Night for the Queer Pop History Books

With theatrical visuals, explosive choreography, and a setlist that spans from new tracks off Mayhem to eternal bangers like “Poker Face,” “Shallow,” and of course, “Born This Way,” Gaga’s tour is not just a concert, it’s a celebration. And with Olivia, Chappell, and Conan adding Gen Z glitter to the moment, it’s clear that Gaga’s influence continues to ripple through pop’s brightest stars.

If the viral footage from the L.A. show is any indication, The Mayhem Ball isn’t just a concert series, it’s a safe space, a runway, and a dance floor for queer joy in all its forms.

  • Beyoncé Reunites Destiny’s Child in Surprise Las Vegas Finale of ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour

Beyoncé Reunites Destiny’s Child in Surprise Las Vegas Finale of ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour

Beyoncé saved her biggest surprise for last. As she closed out her Cowboy Carter Tour in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 26, fans at Allegiant Stadium were treated to a long-awaited reunion, Destiny’s Child returned to the stage in full force.

    A Glorious Gold Comeback

In a moment that sent shockwaves through the BeyHive and beyond, Beyoncé was joined onstage by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for an unexpected, glittering reunion. Decked in coordinated gold ensembles, the iconic trio emerged mid-show to the roaring sound of “Independent Women,” thrilling a crowd that had no idea what was coming.

“Destiny’s Child, b—!” Beyoncé shouted, strutting across the stage with the same confidence that made them household names two decades ago.

They launched into “Lose My Breath,” a fan favorite from their final studio album, before segueing into Beyoncé’s solo hit “Energy” where they tackled the viral “Mute Challenge” together, proving the chemistry is still undeniable.

    Bootylicious and Then Some

Of course, no Destiny’s Child reunion would be complete without “Bootylicious.” The trio closed their set with the early 2000s anthem, exchanging smiles and hugs before Beyoncé addressed the crowd: “Give it up for Destiny’s Child!”

While Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella set was the last time the trio shared a stage, their off-stage bond has remained strong. Rowland and Williams were both spotted at several Cowboy Carter stops earlier this summer, with Williams attending the Washington, D.C., show and Rowland popping up in Paris.

    A Starry Vegas Send-Off

The Las Vegas finale wasn’t short on star power. Jay-Z joined his wife for a performance of their classic “Crazy in Love,” while country upstart Shaboozey stepped in to deliver his verse from “Sweet Honey Buckiin’,” their Cowboy Carter collab.

And just when fans thought it couldn’t get any more personal, 13-year-old Blue Ivy made a heartwarming final appearance, joining her mom onstage one last time, marking the end of a tour that has spanned major cities from Los Angeles to London.

    One Act Ends, Another Awaits

The Cowboy Carter Tour marks the second chapter in Beyoncé’s ambitious three-act project, which began with 2022’s Renaissance album and tour. With Act II now complete, fans are already speculating what surprises Act III might hold.

But for one night in Las Vegas, nostalgia, sisterhood, and show-stopping choreography came together under one glittering roof, and Destiny’s Child reminded us all why they remain the blueprint.

  • The Kid Laroi Says He Doesn’t Trust People Who Don’t Like Ariana Grande

The Kid Laroi Says He Doesn’t Trust People Who Don’t Like Ariana Grande

The Kid Laroi is making it clear: if you’re not vibing with Ariana Grande’s music, he’s not sure he can vibe with you.

The Australian rapper-singer, born Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, joined YouTuber FaZe Adapt for a laid-back Twitch livestream on July 25, 2025, where the two spent the day hanging out and casually chatting. While cruising around in a car, talk turned to music, and more specifically, dream collaborations.

Without skipping a beat, Laroi named Ariana Grande as one of his ultimate “dream collabs,” gushing over her talent and throwing in a cheeky warning to any Grande skeptics.

    “Dream Collab. Dream Dream Collab.”

When FaZe Adapt asked whether Laroi had worked with Grande yet, the 20-year-old hitmaker quickly responded:
“I would love to. That’s like one of my dream collabs for sure. Dream dream collab. 100%.”

Laroi didn’t stop there. He doubled down on his admiration for the pop star, praising both her artistry and her undeniable appeal.
“She is like one of them [top dream collabs] for sure. I think she is so awesome, and like, I kinda don’t trust people who don’t like her music,” he added. “I don’t trust their air.”

It’s a bold take, but not an unexpected one, especially for a performer whose own genre-hopping music often draws comparisons to Grande’s sleek pop versatility.

    Supporting “Eternal Sunshine”

The Kid Laroi’s love for Ariana Grande isn’t new. Earlier this year, he gave a public nod to her latest album Eternal Sunshine: brighter days ahead, posting lyrics from the track “Past Life” on his Instagram story in March 2025. The moment didn’t go unnoticed by fans, with screenshots quickly making the rounds on fan pages.

Grande’s Eternal Sunshine album has resonated across pop and R&B circles alike, and it seems Laroi is firmly in the camp of supporters. Whether or not this mutual appreciation turns into a musical collaboration remains to be seen, but it’s safe to say the fans are ready.

    A Hot Streak Continues

Outside of Ariana-related commentary, The Kid Laroi is staying busy with his own releases. His latest single, “Hot Girl Problems,” dropped this week via Columbia Records. The accompanying music video, directed by Nick Vernet, features Love Island USA season seven stars Iris Kendall and Hannah Fields and brings yacht-party glamor to the forefront.

The breezy summer track follows “How Does It Feel,” a soulful collaboration with bass wizard Thundercat. As Laroi continues to carve his path in pop and hip-hop, it’s clear he’s aiming high, both with his current output and his dream list of collaborators.

And with Ariana Grande at the top of that list? Don’t be surprised if “Past Life” lyrics become a prophetic preview of what’s to come.

Kesha’s ‘Tits Out’ Tour Took Over NYC and the MISTR After Party Was Even Wilder

Kesha lit up New York City with a magnetic, no-holds-barred performance at Madison Square Garden on July 23, bringing her “Tits Out” Tour to a glitter-drenched climax in support of her sixth studio album, Period.

The high-energy night was more than just a concert, it was a raucous, rainbow-colored spectacle of resilience, freedom, and sweaty, euphoric dancing. And if fans thought the chaos ended with the encore, they were mistaken: the real showstopper came at the after party.

An Unforgettable Night at Madison Square Garden

Kesha’s set was an unrelenting two-hour thrill ride packed with hits, deep cuts, and the kind of theatrical flair that only she can deliver. Backed by support from Scissor Sisters and a surprise appearance by the Vengaboys, Madison Square Garden transformed into a full-blown queer dance rave for one night only.

With confetti, lasers, and costume changes galore, Kesha belted out fan favorites like “TiK ToK,” “Blow,” and “We R Who We R” alongside raw, new anthems from Period, an album that marks her most personal and creatively liberated work to date. Every track was a declaration of self-love, artistic autonomy, and emotional catharsis.

A Condom Top and a Cause

While the MSG show was electric, the after party made headlines of its own. Kesha arrived at the official post-show bash at Madison Square Garden wearing a top made entirely of gold MAGNUM condoms. Yes, really.

More than a stunt, the moment doubled as a message. With the support of MISTR CEO Tristan Schukraft, Kesha turned the event into a playful but powerful visual PSA about health, pleasure, and taking control, something that mirrors the themes of Period itself.

    Party With a Purpose

The “Tits Out” Tour has been lauded for its immersive, chaotic energy and community-driven vibe. Fans don’t just watch the show, they become part of it, singing, sweating, and screaming through every beat. Kesha has created an experience that feels like a liberation ritual, and her NYC stop was a shining example of why this tour is so much more than a nostalgia trip.

It’s camp. It’s catharsis. It’s condoms and confetti. And at the heart of it all, it’s Kesha, finally in full control, and looking damn good doing it.

A Year of Milestones and Bold Moves

Roan’s announcement follows a landmark year. She won the GRAMMY for Best New Artist, her breakout hit “Pink Pony Club” topped pop radio on its five-year anniversary, and her latest single, the queer country ballad “The Giver,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart.

Her debut of “The Giver” on Saturday Night Live made waves, alongside a hotline teaser, a viral billboard campaign, and collectible vinyls portraying her in kitschy alter egos like a sultry plumber and brooding private eye. NPR named her SNL performance the #1 moment from the show’s 50th anniversary season.

What to Expect From the Pasadena Shows

If her Midwest Princess Tour is any indication, these pop-up shows will be less concert, more camp cabaret. With Roan’s drag-inspired fashion, theatrical sets, and community-centered energy, each performance is a full-blown party. Expect glitter, choreography, heartfelt ballads, and probably a few wigs on rotation.

MANÚ Drops Steamy New Single ‘Dirty Laundry’ and Talks Joining ‘Drag Race’ Pit Crew

If you’ve been watching RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and caught yourself doing a double take at the pit crew, you’re not alone. The newest addition? Rising pop and R&B artist MANÚ, who’s as much a musical force as he is a jaw-dropping presence in red briefs. But don’t let the abs distract you too much, this artist has something to say.

In an exclusive chat with Gayety, MANÚ opened up about his sultry new single, the toxic relationships that inspired it, and what it’s really like behind the scenes on Drag Race. Spoiler alert: there’s trivia, tears, and a whole lot of sweat.

    From Sydney With Soul

MANÚ didn’t plan on living in Sydney forever. The plan was Europe, maybe a year tops in Australia. But five years later, they’re still soaking up the Southern Hemisphere sun, and crafting a unique blend of pop and R&B that’s both intimate and infectious.

“I’ve always wanted to do pop music,” MANÚ shared. “But it felt limiting to pick just one genre. I lean into R&B a lot because it gives room for nuance and emotion.”

That emotional depth is on full display in their new single, Dirty Laundry.

    Spinning Breakup Blues Into Gold

With Dirty Laundry, MANÚ is turning heartbreak into high art. The track unpacks the “toxic” side of love, a deliberate departure from their usual uplifting tone.

“I wanted to explore that darker part of a relationship, the stuff that sticks to you,” they said. “It’s about letting it go and owning your part of the mess.”

The visuals, like the song, pack a punch. Set in a stylized boxing ring, the video channels raw emotion through sleek choreography and solo performance.

“My videographer, Taj, said, ‘What if you fight yourself?’ And that was it. It clicked,” MANÚ said. “I wanted the visuals to feel sweaty and sexy, like you’re working out the pain.”

In the Studio: From Bedroom Demos to Big Pop Sound

Behind the scenes, MANÚ’s not doing it alone. Their go-to producer and creative partner, Miggy, helps bring each track to life.

“I’ll write a melody and lyrics at home, then bring it to Migi,” MANÚ explained. “We build the track together. It’s a real collaboration, we’re always on the same wavelength.”

That shared vision is powering an upcoming six-song EP, which is being distributed through ADA, a Warner affiliate.

Dirty Laundry is actually the chillest track,” he teased. “The rest is full-on pop. Big sounds, big emotions.”

A Dream in Red Briefs: Behind the Drag Race Glow-Up

Of course, we couldn’t skip over the other major moment: becoming a member of the RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars pit crew.

“I totally manifested it,” MANÚ laughed. “I tried out for the New Zealand pit crew and didn’t get it. But then All Stars came calling.”

And yes, the behind-the-scenes vibes are just as fab as you’d hope.

“It was beautiful. The energy on set was so warm and welcoming,” they shared. “Backstage, we’d play trivia with the queens. It wasn’t just glam, it was community.”

As a longtime fan of the show, the moment was surreal. “RuPaul is a dream. Just a beautiful person, on and off camera.”

Will we be seeing MANÚ again in future episodes? “Hopefully,” they said with a wink. We’re manifesting that too.

    What’s Next for MANÚ

Beyond the glitter and the glow-ups, MANÚ is keeping his focus on the music.

A full video for Dirty Laundry is on the way, and the rest of the year is stacked with releases, and maybe even some international performances.

“It’s going to be a year full of music,” they said. “This EP is just the start.”

With charisma, vulnerability, and a killer flow with lyrics, MANÚ is proving he’s got the chops to go the distance and can do it with looks like Hercules (Disney reference fully intentional). They’re a powerhouse in the making, and we’re here for every beat of it.
