Yes, Batman is gay.
Kevin Conroy, a well-known voice actor for the DC superhero Batman since the early ’90s, has been openly gay for years. But when he recently signed on to write a segment for the DC Pride 2022 comic special, users on Twitter were ecstatic to learn about the icon’s sexuality.

The Rise of Batman
Over the past 30 years, Conroy has voiced the classic super in various media across the DC animated universe. He got his start voicing Bruce Wayne for the Warner Bros. television series Batman: The Animated Series.
Now, the actor is joining other LGBTQ authors and artists in creating stories for this year’s Pride Anthology. Conroy’s story is titled, Finding Batman, and though not much is known about the plot of the story, it is being described as a “personal story.” Art for the story will be done by Aditya Bidikar and J. Bone.
Conroy has never shied away from discussing his sexuality in interviews. In 2016, he spoke to The New York Times about his experiences as a gay man and surviving the AIDS epidemic.
However, it’s clear from the reactions on Twitter that not everyone knew of the icon’s sexuality. But they’re excited to learn the voice they’ve grown up listening to is part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Kevin Conroy writing a story for the DC Pride special is so goddamn wonderful
That man has been THE voice of Batman for as long as I’ve been alive and has been so foundational for so many folks who may not even know he’s gay
It feels truly earned and special, I can’t wait

You can’t say Batman isn’t gay when Kevin Conroy is gay and Kevin Conroy is Batman so you see
