  • Mariah Carey Declares Herself the Ultimate Diva in New Harper’s Bazaar Interview

Mariah Carey Declares Herself the Ultimate Diva in New Harper’s Bazaar Interview

Mariah Carey has never shied away from her larger-than-life persona, and in her latest Harper’s Bazaar UK cover story, she leans into the legend with dazzling self-awareness and plenty of sparkle. When asked which female divas she admires, Carey didn’t hesitate: “I’m going to have to go with me!”

    The Diva of All Divas

After more than three decades in the spotlight, Carey has perfected the art of being a diva, not as a flaw, but as a lifestyle. From sky-high stilettos to silk robes and her love of being lit from the correct angle, Carey knows exactly who she is.

“It’s part of my job,” she told Harper’s Bazaar when asked about her glam persona. “What’s the point of a disguise? Just get up, get dressed, go out. If I don’t want to be seen, I’ll stay home.”

    Photo: Alexi Lubomirski/Harper’s Bazaar UK

She’s not just playing a part, she’s created the part. A five-time Grammy Award winner with 19 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles, Carey has helped define pop stardom, and she’s done it unapologetically on her own terms.

    Aging? Mariah Doesn’t Know Her

Carey, 56, has long sidestepped the topic of aging with a wink and a high note. In fact, she insists it doesn’t apply to her.

“I don’t allow it – it just doesn’t happen. I don’t know time,” she said in the interview. “I don’t know numbers. I do not acknowledge time – I have a new song that starts with that line…”

    Photo: Alexi Lubomirski/Harper’s Bazaar UK

Carey teased that one of her upcoming songs delves into the topic of aging, or rather, her refusal to accept it. Dressed in a chic black mini and later a tailored suit for the Bazaar shoot, the icon looked as radiant as ever, giving further credibility to her anti-aging philosophy.

Her timelessness isn’t just attitude, it’s maintenance. From avoiding cigarettes to only being photographed from her preferred angle, Carey has long preached the power of lighting, beauty sleep, and self-control.

    Mom First, Pop Star Forever

Carey also shared insight into her life as a mother to 14-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, her children with ex-husband Nick Cannon. “How do I say this? They spend time with him, and they have a good time; they spend time with me, and they have a good time,” she said thoughtfully. “I want to make sure I’m always fair about the situation because it’s tough to grow up with divorced parents.”

As for her rumored relationship with musician Anderson .Paak, Carey played it coy, offering only, “I’m a romantic.”

She did name-drop some of today’s top pop girls: Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Tate McRae, but only because they’re on her daughter’s playlist. “I like to keep up,” she said casually.

    Still Sparkling, Still Unmatched

Whether she’s dodging the concept of time or declaring herself the one true diva, Mariah Carey continues to rewrite the rules of fame with a glitter pen. Her latest interview doesn’t just reinforce her place in the pantheon of pop, it proves she built the stage.

After all, in a world full of divas, there’s only one Mariah.

  • Chappell Roan Brings ‘Visions of Damsels’ Pop-Up Shows to Pasadena This October

Chappell Roan Brings ‘Visions of Damsels’ Pop-Up Shows to Pasadena This October

The “Midwest Princess” returns to California for a two-night theatrical celebration of queerness and pop magic

Pop sensation and queer icon Chappell Roan is heading back to California with two exclusive headline performances at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The shows, set for Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11, 2025, are part of her limited-run “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things” pop-up tour, hitting just three cities this fall.

A Love Letter to Her Favorite Cities

In a statement to fans, Roan shared her excitement:

“I am sooo excited to bring Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things to New York, Kansas City, and Los Angeles!!! I love these three cities so much and wanted the chance to do something special for them this year.”

Roan is prioritizing accessibility with these performances, using Fair AXS registration to help fans avoid inflated resale prices. Ticket registration is now open through Sunday, July 27 at 8:59 p.m. PT, with selected fans receiving purchase access between August 5–7.

Each ticket sold also includes a $1 donation to organizations supporting trans youth, a cause close to Roan’s heart.

“It is so important that I give back to the trans community as they have given me so much throughout my career,” she said.

A Year of Milestones and Bold Moves

Roan’s announcement follows a landmark year. She won the GRAMMY for Best New Artist, her breakout hit “Pink Pony Club” topped pop radio on its five-year anniversary, and her latest single, the queer country ballad “The Giver,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart.

Her debut of “The Giver” on Saturday Night Live made waves, alongside a hotline teaser, a viral billboard campaign, and collectible vinyls portraying her in kitschy alter egos like a sultry plumber and brooding private eye. NPR named her SNL performance the #1 moment from the show’s 50th anniversary season.

What to Expect From the Pasadena Shows

If her Midwest Princess Tour is any indication, these pop-up shows will be less concert, more camp cabaret. With Roan’s drag-inspired fashion, theatrical sets, and community-centered energy, each performance is a full-blown party. Expect glitter, choreography, heartfelt ballads, and probably a few wigs on rotation.

And yes, if you’re a Cash App Visa cardholder, you’re in luck: a 15% cashback offer is available at checkout, credited directly back to your balance. Details at cash.app/exclusives/chappellroan.

    Ticket Details and More

To access tickets, fans must register in advance at axs.com/chappellroan2025. Registration does not guarantee a ticket, but it’s the only way in. For more about the Pasadena event specifically, head to chappellroanpasadena.com.

In addition to the upcoming Pasadena shows, Chappell Roan will be bringing her larger-than-life pop spectacle to a few other cities this fall:

    • September 20–24 – Forest Hills, NY @ Forest Hills Stadium (four-night run)
    • October 3–4 – Kansas City, MO @ Museum and Memorial Park
    • October 10–11 – Pasadena, CA @ Brookside at the Rose Bowl
  • Agnes Turns Confidence Into Currency With Bold New Track ‘MILK’

Agnes Turns Confidence Into Currency With Bold New Track ‘MILK’

Swedish pop powerhouse Agnes is back, and she’s churning out more than just music. With the release of her latest single “MILK,” the disco diva blends glam, grit, and glitter into a chant that’s equal parts camp and confidence. The result? A genre-bending anthem about turning life’s raw ingredients into your own personal masterpiece.

From Car Ride to Confidence Chant

It all started with a drive. Agnes found herself behind the wheel when inspiration struck in the form of a spontaneous mantra:

“I turn milk into butter and butter into money, and with the money honey I create the life that I like.”

The phrase became the beating heart of “MILK,” a track that started off punk and eventually morphed into something more dancefloor-ready. “My inspiration for the song was one of The Hives’ old songs,” Agnes explained. “I was playing with the idea, what if I was their sister? What would the song sound like then?”

The answer? A glittering disco banger with attitude, soul, and just a dash of rebellion. “At first the song had a much more punky feeling,” she said, “but it didn’t feel quite right. So we made it more disco in the production and then, there it was.”

    A Soundtrack for Self-Expression

Agnes describes “MILK” as a declaration of individuality. It’s a love letter to your quirks, a high-five to your weirdness, and a reminder that confidence is your greatest currency.

“It’s about having the confidence in knowing who you are and what you want. Speaking your own truth,” she said. “Use that, be that, and create a life that supports that.”

That message comes wrapped in a retro-pop shimmer, but the heart of the song is all about authenticity and empowerment, a message that resonates deeply with her LGBTQ+ fans.

A Thank You to the Queer Community

Agnes is no stranger to queer adoration. Her music has long served as a sanctuary for LGBTQ+ listeners, and she doesn’t take that connection lightly.

“You make me wanna push myself creatively,” she said. “When it comes to my music and creating this world… I really do feel the love and the support, and it means the world to me.”

Her gratitude extends beyond the studio. With live shows on the horizon, Agnes says she’s ready to celebrate and dance with her fans in person: “You don’t understand how much I’m looking forward to playing live, meeting you, celebrating, singing and dancing together.”

    The Dream Team Behind “MILK”

Agnes teamed up with some of Sweden’s best-known hitmakers for “MILK,” including Vincent Pontare (Madonna, Avicii), Hannah Wilson (Tove Lo, The Chainsmokers), Kerstin Ljungström, and Frans Bryngel (The Weeknd, Salvatore Ganacci). The result is a track that’s slick, spunky, and sonically rich—just like Agnes herself.

    From “Release Me” to Reinvention

Agnes rose to global fame at just 16, and over two decades later, she continues to evolve. Her 2021 album Magic Still Exists earned four Swedish Grammy nominations, including a win for Composer of the Year. The album drew praise from The Guardian, Billboard, Pitchfork, and NME, cementing her place as a chameleonic artist who refuses to be boxed in.

With “MILK,” Agnes shows no signs of slowing down. It’s playful, it’s punkish, it’s disco-fabulous, and most of all, it’s unmistakably her.

  • Kim Petras Teases New Banger ‘Freak It’ at Balenciaga’s Wild Couture After-Party

Kim Petras Teases New Banger ‘Freak It’ at Balenciaga’s Wild Couture After-Party

Pop princess Kim Petras is officially in her “main character at the rave” era. The Grammy winner caused a frenzy online after debuting a snippet of her unreleased song “Freak It” at the Balenciaga Couture after-party in Paris, and the internet is already begging for the full version.

Hosted in the intimate salon on Avenue George V, the celebration marked a symbolic final bow for designer Demna’s tenure at Balenciaga. Naturally, the guest list was stacked: Naomi Campbell and Margo XS hit the decks, and The Cobrasnake was on hand to document the haze of fashion, sweat, and cigarette smoke. But it was Kim who stole the spotlight, not with a runway walk, but with a surprise banger that had the crowd, and fans online, going feral.

Pop icon Kim Petras surprised fans with a snippet of her unreleased single “Freak It” at Balenciaga’s after-party, hinting at a bold new era of club-ready anthems.

    Welcome to the Freak Show

While spinning tracks and working the mic, Kim dropped an exclusive preview of “Freak It,” a sultry, bass-heavy cut that hints at a return to the unapologetic, body-moving sound that helped make her a queer icon. The snippet doesn’t give away much lyrically, but the thumping beat, distorted synths, and provocative energy had the party crowd visibly shook, and phones flying up to capture the moment.

In true Petras fashion, it was sexy, chaotic, and totally euphoric. The kind of song you hear once and already picture on the setlist of a sweaty Pride performance or blasting from a Fire Island cabana.

Fans React: “We Need It Yesterday”

After clips of “Freak It” began circulating on social media, fans wasted no time sounding off:

“I need it! Song of the summer!!” one user tweeted.
“Release Freak It before I lose my mind,” wrote another, alongside a clip from the party.
“Between ‘Polo’ and this? She’s cooking!!” commented a fan on TikTok.

Many noted that the new snippet, combined with her just-released single “Polo,” signals a bold new chapter for Petras, one defined by cheeky club bangers, glitchy pop production, and full-throttle queer energy.

The “Polo” Era Is Just Getting Started

“Polo,” Petras’ most recent single, dropped ahead of her latest Pride performances and served as a sonic reset for the artist. “It makes me feel cute and like a bitch!” she said, explaining the track’s playful but confident energy. Created alongside collaborators Margo XS, Nightfeelings, and atlgrandma, the song is layered with distorted synths and a flirty hook that begs to be danced to.

If this Balenciaga after-party moment was any indication, the new era of Kim Petras is hot, unfiltered, and built for the club. We’re more than ready to freak out.

Beyoncé Brings Miley Cyrus Onstage for Surprise Duet at First ‘Cowboy Carter’ Show in Paris

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is back in her rodeo era and proving once again that she knows how to make a moment. The global superstar launched her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour with a Juneteenth show at Stade de France in Paris, and brought a surprise guest to help kick it off.

Midway through the June 19 show, Beyoncé thrilled the crowd by inviting Miley Cyrus to join her onstage for a live performance of their Grammy-winning duet, “II Most Wanted.” The collab, originally featured on Beyoncé’s genre-blending Cowboy Carter album, was performed live together for the first time, and fans were not ready.

    A Star-Spangled Start in Paris

Beyoncé took the stage around 8:56 p.m. local time, opening her first European date on the tour with gratitude and flair.

“Paris, France, I have to say I’m very grateful to be on this stage. We have a very special show for y’all,” she told the crowd.

Decked in a gold ensemble, with Cyrus matching the metallic glam, Beyoncé welcomed the “Flowers” singer with an emotional introduction.

“I love y’all so much,” she said before bringing Miley out. “I’m super excited because I wanted to do something very special for you guys. I’m so grateful to sing with you, Ms. Miley Cyrus.”

The two artists shared a cheek kiss and held hands before delivering a powerful rendition of their country-infused hit. Their chemistry was undeniable, and the audience soaked up every note.

    Grammy Gold and Giddy Applause

Beyoncé and Cyrus’s duet isn’t just fan service, it’s award-winning. The pair took home the Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance earlier this year for “II Most Wanted,” which fans have praised for its emotional depth and genre-defying sound.

“Please give it up for Miley,” Beyoncé said as the crowd roared post-performance. “That was amazing.”

The ‘Cowboy Carter’ Era Rides On

The Cowboy Carter tour, which first launched at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in April, has been a dynamic showcase of Beyoncé’s evolution as an artist. The setlist spans genres, from country to R&B, gospel, and even Americana, and is laced with cultural nods and family ties.

The Paris opener is just the beginning of her international stops. Beyoncé is set to perform again at Stade de France on June 21 and 22 before continuing the global leg of the tour.

    Fans in Full Rodeo Frenzy

Online and in the stadium, fans couldn’t get enough of the Beyoncé-Miley moment. Social media lit up with reactions ranging from teary-eyed emojis to full-blown scream typing.

“THEY SOUND AMAZING LIKE OMFG MY HEART,” wrote one fan on X (formerly Twitter).

Another posted: “This was not on my 2025 bingo card 😭”

TikTok clips of the duet quickly racked up views, with fans applauding the performance’s elegance, synergy, and show-stopping surprise factor.

    A Juneteenth Celebration to Remember

That the show kicked off on Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, wasn’t lost on many fans either. Beyoncé, who has long centered Black history and culture in her work, layered the moment with deeper meaning through both her music and her message of unity.

With more tour dates on the horizon, it’s safe to say the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit is already delivering standout moments, and we’re only at the starting gate.

  • Agnes Returns with Hypnotic ‘Balenciaga Covered Eyes’ Video and Teases Most Personal Album Yet

Agnes Returns with Hypnotic ‘Balenciaga Covered Eyes’ Video and Teases Most Personal Album Yet

Swedish pop icon Agnes is back, and she’s not just bringing new music, she’s delivering an entire surrealist fantasy.

The beloved artist behind global dance anthem “Release Me” just dropped the highly anticipated video for “Balenciaga Covered Eyes,” the lead single off her forthcoming album. The song, released in late May, has already made waves with its sleek house beats, emotionally rich lyrics, and yes, a title that name-drops high fashion while diving deep into the soul.

    A Runway Into the Psyche

Directed by Fredrik Hvass of Swim Club, the video is a visual fever dream. Set against a surreal catwalk, Agnes performs in a dimension that feels both icy and intimate. Every detail is deliberate: symmetrical staging, clinical lighting, and Agnes embodying tension with the poise of someone who knows exactly what she’s doing, even when unraveling.

Agnes drops the video for 'Balenciaga Covered Eyes' and unveils details about her raw, emotional new album.

“We wanted to highlight the contradictions inside us,” Agnes says. “The beauty, the madness, the control, and the letting go. It’s about identity, sexuality, the gaze we direct at others—and at ourselves.”

In true Agnes fashion, there’s a layer of chic weirdness running through the whole thing. “I always want to break up the beauty with some kind of weirdness or madness to make it interesting,” she adds.

    New Album, New Dimensions

While her last album, Magic Still Exists, swept Swedish Grammys and earned international acclaim from Pitchfork, The Guardian, and Billboard, Agnes’s next record takes an even bolder step: inward.

“It all started with an image in my mind,” she explains. “Someone in chaos, glamour, parties, and mess, looking confident, but hiding something behind those ‘Balenciaga covered eyes.’”

The album embraces contradiction: confidence and fragility, hubris and humility, chaos and calm. Where Magic Still Exists was spiritual and cinematic, this one is stripped-back and raw. Lyrics lead the way. Feelings aren’t just hinted at, they’re placed under the spotlight and invited to stay awhile.

    An All-Star Swedish Team

To shape this era, Agnes surrounded herself with a team of Sweden’s most acclaimed musical minds: Kerstin Ljungström, Vincent Pontare, Salem Al Fakir, Magnus Lidehäll, and Hanna Wilson. She also brought in house producer Frans Bryngel, whose credits include work with Lady Gaga, Sia, The Weeknd, and Swedish House Mafia.

“We wanted to preserve the nerve of the original songs,” Agnes says. “Everything had to feel alive and a bit undone, like it could burst open at any moment.”

    Always Evolving, Always Herself

From her explosive debut at 16 to her evolution into a sophisticated pop auteur, Agnes has never stopped reinventing herself. With nearly half a billion streams and a voice that moves between silky restraint and bold proclamation, her two-decade career continues to evolve—with a beating heart at its center.

“That naive joy I felt at the beginning of my career, just being able to sing, is still everything to me,” she says. “Being in the creative process, that’s where I belong. That’s where it never ends.”

Agnes’s upcoming album doesn’t have an official release date yet, but if “Balenciaga Covered Eyes” is any indication, expect something deeply personal, artfully chaotic, and exquisitely Swedish.

  • Dua Lipa Says ‘Yes!’ Pop Star Confirms Engagement to Actor Callum Turner

Dua Lipa Says ‘Yes!’ Pop Star Confirms Engagement to Actor Callum Turner

Dua Lipa is officially off the market, and she’s positively glowing about it.

In a new cover interview with British Vogue, the Grammy-winning pop star confirmed her engagement to actor Callum Turner. The stylish duo has been stirring up rumors since early 2024, but now the speculation has turned into full-on celebration. “Yeah, we’re engaged,” Lipa revealed, calling it “very exciting” and admitting she’s completely smitten with her ring and her fiancé.

“It’s so me,” Lipa said of the custom piece, designed after Turner reportedly consulted her sister and best friends. If that doesn’t scream husband material, we don’t know what does.

How They Met: A Meet-Cute With a Side of Destiny

Their love story has all the makings of a rom-com. The two first crossed paths at London’s River Cafe, an unplanned run-in while Lipa was dining with her father and Turner was out with friends. The universe (and a helpful co-founder of the restaurant) made the intro. Though they had mutual friends, it wasn’t until a year later, over dinner in Los Angeles, that sparks properly flew.

Call it fate, or just very good taste in books. Turner arrived at that dinner reading the same novel Lipa and her tablemate, Mustafa the Poet, were discussing. That detail had Lipa reminiscing to Vogue: “I was like, that’s the really hot guy from The River Cafe!”

    From Low-Key to Loved Up

Though they’ve only been public for about a year, their relationship has moved steadily and sweetly. From quiet Instagram posts to matching looks at events like the Time100 Gala and Met Gala 2025, Lipa and Turner have perfected the art of the soft launch.

They’ve been seen cuddling backstage at Glastonbury, sneaking kisses in California, and making stylish entrances at BAFTA and BRITs after-parties. But according to Lipa, their romance thrives most behind closed doors. “It’s nice to know the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you so well,” she told Vogue.

The couple even abides by their own version of the long-distance lovers’ golden rule: never go more than two-and-a-half weeks without seeing each other. (Although, she admits, Australia and New Zealand stretched that to three.)

Not Rushing Down the Aisle Just Yet

While the engagement is official, wedding bells aren’t ringing just yet. Lipa is still on her “Radical Optimism” tour, and Turner is busy shooting. For now, the couple is soaking in this pre-wedding glow.

“I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be,” Lipa said. “All of a sudden I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”

Kids are part of the vision too, eventually. “I love children, but there’s so much more to raising a child than just loving them,” she said.

Fans React: ‘She’s Entering Her Future Nostalgia Era for Real’

Naturally, the internet went feral over the news. Fans flooded social media with reactions ranging from heartfelt congratulations to elaborate wedding dress predictions.

Dua Lipa is doin life right love that her man is up to par with her!!” one user posted. Another added, “Not me actually tearing up.”

And of course, the memes were on point. Some fans joked about rebranding her albums to fit her new era: Radical Optimism & a Diamond Ring, anyone?

Lipa’s Next Chapter Looks Like a Love Song

Dua Lipa’s music has often charted the highs and heartbreaks of love, but this chapter is shaping up to be her sweetest yet. With a partner who reads the same books, respects her independence, and helps design perfect jewelry, it’s no wonder she’s glowing.

While the timeline to the altar may be TBD, one thing’s for sure: Dua Lipa is dancing her way into forever.

Lady Gaga Edges Closer to EGOT Status With Sports Emmy Win

Mother Monster racks up more history-making milestones, including Coachella, Spotify, and a record-breaking tour.

Lady Gaga is one step closer to achieving EGOT status — and she’s doing it in true Gaga fashion: boldly, iconically, and with just the right amount of sparkle.

On May 20, the multi-hyphenate superstar added a Sports Emmy to her ever-growing trophy shelf for her emotional performance of Hold My Hand ahead of Super Bowl LIX. The pre-game moment doubled as a tribute to victims of the New Orleans truck attack, California wildfires, and Hurricane Helene — blending Gaga’s signature theatricality with heartfelt advocacy.

With an Emmy, 14 Grammy Awards, and an Oscar already in the bag, Gaga needs just one Tony Award to enter the exclusive club of EGOT winners, alongside greats like Audrey Hepburn, Elton John, Viola Davis, and Barbra Streisand.

    A Year of Mayhem (Literally)

The Sports Emmy is just one headline in what may be Gaga’s most electrifying year yet.

In early 2025, she dropped her seventh studio album Mayhem — a critical and commercial juggernaut. The record earned the biggest debut of the year for a female artist on Spotify, anchored by standout singles like Abracadabra, her highest solo debut to date.

Not to be outdone, Gaga’s Bruno Mars collab Die With a Smile shattered Spotify records for the longest-running daily No. 1 and picked up a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. In April, she surpassed Ariana Grande to become the most-streamed female artist globally, currently ranking third overall behind Bruno Mars and The Weeknd with more than 116 million monthly listeners.

    Live Shows and Legend Status

Gaga’s stage dominance continues. She wowed festivalgoers during back-to-back Coachella headlining sets in April, then broke global records with a free Copacabana Beach concert that drew over 2.1 million attendees — the largest audience ever for a female performer.

In March, she accepted the iHeartRadio Innovator Award, delivering a powerful speech that called out ageism and sexism in the music industry.

“Even though the world might consider a woman in her late 30s old for a pop star — which is insane — I promise that I’m just getting warmed up,” she said.

    The MAYHEM Ball Is Coming

Next, Gaga is taking Mayhem on the road. Her MAYHEM Ball Tour kicks off July 16 in Las Vegas and will travel through North America and Europe with stops in New York, Toronto, London, Barcelona and more.

If one thing’s clear, it’s this: Gaga’s not slowing down. EGOT status may be next, but she’s already a legend in her own right.
