Kathryn Hahn is fully aware of the massive lesbian fanbase backing her—and she’s loving every second of it.
The 51-year-old actress, best known for her unforgettable performance in Agatha All Along from WandaVision, recently made a guest appearance on Watch What Happens Live alongside co-stars Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders. The trio was there to promote their new Apple TV+ dramedy The Studio, but it was Hahn’s response to a question about her dedicated lesbian fans that stole the show.
Host Andy Cohen read a fan-submitted question, noting that Hahn has a devoted “fandom of lesbians” who are not only ready to watch anything she stars in but also prepared to defend her and advocate for her recognition in award nominations. Cohen then asked, “Do you realize you have a lesbian army ready to fight on your behalf?”
With her signature sultry voice, Hahn replied, “I feel like the Joan of Arc. Yes, I do and I appreciate and love. I love an army behind me,” as the studio audience erupted in applause.
Bravo shared the clip on Instagram, where the comments flooded in from excited sapphic fans. One commenter declared, “It’s true!!!! I would do anything she needed,” while another simply wrote, “Oh she KNOWS.” Fans continued to express their unwavering loyalty, with comments like, “Your ARMY is always behind you,” and “MOTHER HAHN NATION RISE.”
Hahn isn’t the only one praising her queer lady army. Barinholtz also made an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote The Studio, and he didn’t miss a chance to boast about Hahn’s die-hard supporters. “Kathryn Hahn has a lesbian army that will die for her. They are like fighters,” he quipped, emphasizing just how strong the actress’s fandom is.

With a fanbase this passionate, it’s clear Hahn’s lesbian army is ready to take on whatever comes next in her career. As Hahn continues to rise in Hollywood, it’s safe to say her supporters will be there every step of the way. Mother Hahn, indeed.
Transgender advocate and icon Ts Madison has unveiled a new initiative aimed at providing safe housing and support for Black trans women in Atlanta. Launched in partnership with NAESM, a historic Black HIV/AIDS organization, the Starter House will serve as a vital resource for Black trans women engaged in sex work. This initiative, which coincided with the 16th annual Transgender Day of Visibility, is set to offer a range of services, including gender-affirming healthcare, economic opportunities, and holistic support for those in need.
A Safe Haven for Black Trans Women
Located in Ts Madison’s former residence, the facility offers a welcoming and secure environment for those who may be experiencing homelessness or struggling to transition out of sex work. Madison, who is known for her work as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race and her advocacy for the trans community, expressed the emotional significance of the project during the grand opening. “This morning I was having withdrawals because this is a big thing,” Madison said. “Like, this is my house. I’m giving my house to the community. That means people are going to be transitioning in and out of this house.”

Madison went on to explain that the facility would provide essential support for Black trans women, many of whom are disenfranchised and homeless. “These are girls that are trying to find another way in their life,” she said. The Starter House is set to be a key resource for these women as they begin their journey toward stability, security, and self-empowerment.
Part of a Larger Movement
The Starter House is not just a local effort; it is also part of a larger movement aimed at supporting disenfranchised individuals. The facility is affiliated with A New Way of Life’s SAFE Housing Network, a global coalition of over 30 organizations focused on providing reentry support to women who have been incarcerated. Founded in 1998, the SAFE Housing Network works to reduce U.S. incarceration rates by offering housing, healing, and leadership opportunities for individuals affected by the justice system.
Dominique Morgan, the Executive Director of the Ts Madison Starter House, emphasized the power of community support in these difficult times. “I think so many of us feel the fear of what’s happening in this climate, and so many folks feel like, ‘Are we going to make it?’” Morgan said. “But today really symbolizes for me that we have answers happening all over the place, and we have the power to decide how we show up for each other.”
A Symbol of Hope and Empowerment
The Starter House is more than just a place to live — it’s a symbol of hope and empowerment for Black trans women. It represents a crucial opportunity for healing, growth, and independence. The initiative will provide women with access to safe, affirming housing and the resources they need to thrive. Madison’s emotional connection to the project speaks to the significance it holds for both her and the broader trans community.
As the Starter House begins its journey, it stands as a vital stepping stone for many women seeking a better life. To learn more about the initiative or to make a donation, visit the official Ts Madison Starter House page.

Friendship is at the heart of Lil Nas X and Camila Cabello’s newly forged connection, which blossomed during their collaboration on the 2024 track “He Knows.” In a new cover story for Paper magazine, Lil Nas X, the 25-year-old Grammy-winning artist, opened up about the meaningful partnership with Cabello and how their collaboration helped him regain his confidence at a difficult time in his life.
The rapper and singer, known for his chart-topping hits like “Industry Baby” and “Old Town Road,” discussed how working with Cabello, 28, served as a source of inspiration and emotional support. He described the experience as more than just a professional collaboration, emphasizing how the two artists uplifted each other both creatively and personally.
“We did a great job at uplifting each other and showing each other how we view the situation and how we view each other from outside of ourselves,” said Lil Nas X. He went on to express how deeply impactful it was to receive validation from someone whose work he admires. “Once you make up your mind: ‘Oh, the world doesn’t see me as something great or feels like I’ve done anything amazing.’ To hear affirmation from somebody who you greatly respect, and you love what they’ve done, it feels great, especially because you can feel like it comes from a genuine place, and not like someone trying to get something from you.”
Lil Nas X and Cabello, who previously collaborated on “He Knows,” a playful anthem about rivalry and relationships, are seen in the song’s music video engaging in a dramatic altercation where Lil Nas X pulls out Cabello’s hair at a nightclub. The duo fights over a man, with their confrontation escalating into a theatrical showdown. Yet beyond the tension seen on screen, their real-life friendship has been a grounding and positive force for both stars.
Lil Nas X continued to describe his time spent with Cabello as a refreshing break from the pressures of fame, calling their moments together “fun” and “genuine.” The collaboration occurred at a time when Lil Nas X was in the process of easing back into social spaces after facing personal challenges. The two spent time together at the 2024 Met Gala and multiple after-parties, during which Lil Nas X found comfort in Cabello’s company.
“It was just genuine fun,” he recalled. “It didn’t feel like work.” He went on to share how Cabello’s support made him feel more at ease, saying, “She made me feel so good. She made me feel so great. And that was the beginning of me getting my confidence back.” For Lil Nas X, the connection with Cabello marked a pivotal turning point in his personal growth. “To finally be at this place, where I’m like, ‘Okay, I know who the f— I am. I know where I’m going. I don’t care what none of these bitches say. I didn’t care at first. Why do I care now?’”
In his recent music, Lil Nas X has continued to explore themes of confidence and self-empowerment. In March 2025, he released his latest single, “Hotbox,” which quickly gained attention. Alongside the track, he dropped an EP titled Days Before Dreamboy, featuring several promotional songs that showcase a lighter, more carefree side of his artistry.
Reflecting on why “Hotbox” felt like the right choice for his latest major release, Lil Nas X told Paper, “‘Hotbox’ seemed light. It didn’t seem like me trying to prove something to my haters.” This sentiment marks a departure from his earlier tracks, which at times carried an edge of defiance. Lil Nas X explained how, for a period, he was consumed with the desire to retaliate against his critics, but he realized that this was not the energy he wanted to put into his music anymore. “For a minute I was like, ‘I want to get back at my detractors for how they made me feel,’” he said. “I was like, ‘No bitch. I want to make a bubbly, fun song.’”
The playful, upbeat nature of “Hotbox” reflects Lil Nas X’s evolving mindset, especially as the world faces heightened tensions. “I know a lot of people are very scared in the world right now, about all the s— that’s happening, especially in our own country,” he said. “S— is happening so fast. I don’t want to think about it. And I don’t mean that in the sense of being dismissive, but I’m just so f—ing tired of being tired of this s—.”
The artist emphasized the importance of providing an escape from the heaviness of the world, even if just for a few minutes. “If this song could even for three minutes make somebody forget what’s going on and feel some oblivious joy, then so be it,” Lil Nas X added, showcasing his focus on positivity and bringing lightness to his fans during a time when many feel overwhelmed.
Throughout his career, Lil Nas X has remained an outspoken advocate for individuality, self-expression, and LGBTQ+ visibility in the entertainment industry. His personal growth and confidence are mirrored in his music, which continues to serve as both a reflection of his journey and a beacon for his fans. As he works with talented artists like Camila Cabello and releases new, joyful tracks like “Hotbox,” Lil Nas X is showing the world that it’s possible to thrive and embrace one’s true self, even amid challenges and criticism.
For Lil Nas X, this new chapter is about standing in his power and embracing both his artistic voice and personal identity with pride. His collaboration with Cabello and his music are a testament to how, through friendship, mutual support, and creative expression, anyone can regain their confidence and keep pushing forward.
Fans and critics alike will no doubt continue to watch with excitement as Lil Nas X grows and evolves both professionally and personally. His unapologetic authenticity is not only redefining what it means to be a star in today’s music landscape but also setting a powerful example of self-love, resilience, and the importance of surrounding oneself with positive influences.

Poppers have been a staple in the gay community for decades, often used to enhance sexual experiences and provide a quick rush of euphoria. But what exactly are poppers? Here’s what you need to know about this widely used, yet misunderstood, substance.
What Are Poppers?
Poppers is the slang term for alkyl nitrites, a class of chemicals used primarily for recreational purposes. Though often associated with the LGBTQ+ community, especially within sexual contexts, poppers have gained wider recognition in some straight clubs as well. It’s important to understand exactly what you’re inhaling when using poppers.
Photo: Alamy
How Do Poppers Work?
Poppers work by relaxing smooth muscles in the body, including the sphincter muscles in the anus, which is why many people use them during sex. When you inhale poppers, they cause blood vessels to dilate, leading to an increase in heart rate and blood flow, which in turn creates the euphoric feeling associated with their use.
A Cultural Staple Since the 1970s
The use of poppers has deep ties to the gay disco scene of the 1970s. Many gay men would sniff poppers while dancing at clubs to enhance the music and create a heightened sense of pleasure. By the 1990s, poppers became a popular accessory at gay raves. Over time, their use expanded beyond LGBTQ+ spaces, and now some straight individuals use them recreationally in non-sexual settings, especially in club environments.

The Danger of Mixing Poppers and Viagra
It’s crucial to be cautious when using poppers in combination with other substances. Poppers and Viagra both cause a drop in blood pressure, which can be dangerous when used together. This dangerous combination can result in fainting, stroke, or even heart attack or death, according to the LGBT Foundation. Always be aware of the risks when using poppers.
Ingestion of Poppers Can Be Deadly
While inhaling poppers is relatively safe in moderation, ingesting them can have lethal consequences. The U.S. National Library of Medicine warns that ingestion, whether intentional or accidental, can result in death. Poppers are meant to be inhaled through the nose, not consumed.
Who Uses Poppers?
Though poppers have been popular in certain communities, they’re not as widely used as other recreational drugs. Only about 3 percent of the population reports using poppers. This is a much smaller percentage compared to the 10 percent of U.S. adults who have smoked marijuana within the past year. Poppers’ popularity is predominantly confined to gay men, reflecting the demographic most likely to use them.
Legal Controversies: The UK’s Attempt to Ban Poppers
In early 2023, the UK nearly banned poppers, citing concerns over safety. However, the move failed due to a technicality, as reported by The Guardian. While poppers remain legal in many countries, their regulation is often contentious.
Canada’s Ban on Poppers
In 2013, Canada moved to ban the sale of poppers, warning that selling them could lead to a three-year jail sentence or a $5,000 fine. This was part of a broader effort to regulate substances associated with recreational drug use.
Health Risks of Poppers
Like any substance, poppers come with potential health risks. Short-term effects can include lightheadedness, headaches, dizziness, and fainting. Long-term use can lead to eye damage, including a condition known as “Poppers Maculopathy,” which can cause vision loss. High doses of poppers can also lead to methaemoglobinaemia, a condition in which blood cells lose the ability to carry oxygen, similar to carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the LGBT Foundation.
The Prescription History of Amyl Nitrite
Amyl nitrite, a type of alkyl nitrite, was originally sold as a prescription drug in the U.S. in 1937 for the treatment of chest pain. However, it was taken off the prescription list in 1960 due to its relatively low risk of harm. By 1969, it was reinstated as a prescription drug. Despite this, you can still find other alkyl nitrites, which are marketed under different names such as “nail polish remover,” in sex shops. These versions are typically available legally for recreational use.

Chappell Roan has achieved even more success with her new song, “The Giver,” debuting at #5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and claiming the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. This milestone makes Roan the first artist since Beyoncé to achieve such a feat, with Beyoncé also debuting at #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart in 2023 with “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
Chart-Topping Success
Roan’s achievement marks her third top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, following the success of “Good Luck, Babe!” which peaked at #4 last year, and “Pink Pony Club,” which reached #7 earlier this month and is currently ranked #9. “The Giver” also makes its debut in the top 40, marking Roan’s first-ever appearance at such a high level on the Hot 100.
With “The Giver” claiming the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart, Roan becomes just the third woman ever to debut at #1 with her first-ever entry on the chart. The only other women to achieve this are pop icons Bebe Rexha, who hit #1 in 2017 with “Meant to Be” featuring Florida Georgia Line, and Beyoncé with her 2023 debut of “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
Hot 100 Updates
Meanwhile, on the Hot 100, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s collaboration, “luther,” holds steady at #1 for its fifth consecutive week. In other chart news, Doechii’s “Anxiety,” which samples Gotye’s 2012 hit “Somebody That I Used to Know,” becomes her first top 10 hit on the Hot 100.
Chappell Roan’s remarkable debut further cements her place in music history as she continues to break boundaries and blaze new trails across genres.
A rare collection of over 9,700 Polaroid photos, chronicling the lives of a groundbreaking Houston throuple, is set to be auctioned at the upcoming ABAA New York International Antiquarian Book Fair. The collection, spanning from 1964 to 1991, documents the polyamorous relationship between Jay Hollenburger, Arthur Slaughter, and Gary Grether, affectionately known as JAG.
A Groundbreaking Throuple
The three men began their romantic journey around 1970 when Hollenburger and Slaughter, who had been together since 1961, welcomed Grether into their relationship. A quote from the couple during this time captured their dynamic: “I don’t love you any less, but I love this man as well.”
Hollenburger, Slaughter, and Grether lived openly as a gay throuple during a time when such relationships were not widely accepted. Slaughter was particularly vocal about the importance of being visible, believing that greater societal acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community would come from better understanding. The trio often hosted elaborate parties, including the annual “Follyball” event in the 1970s, which uniquely combined drag shows with volleyball.
A Legacy of Photographs
Hollenburger meticulously documented their lives together, recording the date, location, and names of attendees for nearly every Polaroid photograph. Archivists believe that Hollenburger could have amassed as many as 20,000 photos throughout their years together. Many of the images capture the vibrant social circle and festive gatherings the throuple hosted.
The collection provides an intimate glimpse into the lives of this historic trio, offering both a personal and social history of the time. The Polaroids span decades, documenting the evolution of their relationship, friendships, and community. Tragically, Grether and Slaughter both passed away due to AIDS, in 1990 and 1995, respectively. Hollenburger, the last surviving member, passed away in September 2024, and the photos were later acquired at his estate sale.
The Auction and What’s Next
The Polaroid collection will be available for sale at the ABAA New York International Antiquarian Book Fair, which will take place from April 3 to 6 at the Park Avenue Armory. The photos offer a unique and candid look into the lives of a pioneering polyamorous trio, and their legacy as trailblazers within the LGBTQ+ community.
For collectors, history enthusiasts, and those interested in LGBTQ+ culture, this collection provides a rare window into a chapter of queer history, captured through the lens of love, community, and acceptance. Scroll below to see some of the photos that will be at the auction!
