Demi Lovato Is the New Final Girl in Scream VI ‘Still Alive’ Music Video

“Still alive. I don’t wanna just survive,” Demi Lovato belts out in her new track for the upcoming Scream sequel.

Ghostface is gearing up to terrorize New York City when Scream VI hits theaters next week. But don’t worry, a leather-clad Demi Lovato is ready to swoop in and save the day. The 30-year-old singer released her new song, appropriately titled “Still Alive,” on March 3, and a chilling music video came with it.

The video is straight out of a Scream movie and follows Lovato and their group of friends as they attend a special film screening via a bloody invitation. However, no slasher film is complete without a visit from the masked figure himself, Ghostface. The group attempts to fight him off but in the end, Lovato finishes the job. The video shows small clips from Scream VI as Lovato sings about “chasing the ghosts that would haunt me at night” and “facing my past cause I’m up for the fight.” It is the perfect theme song for the film. Plus, we will take any excuse to see Lovato swinging around a knife and fighting off a psycho killer.

The sixth Scream film comes one year after the previous installment and will star Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Jack Champion. It follows the four survivors as they attempt to leave the haunting events of Woodsborrow behind and begin a new chapter. But where does one go to escape a legendary serial killer? New York City, of course!

Returning in Scream VI is franchise favorite Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) and Scream 4 star Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed. Final girl icon Sydney Prescott (Neve Campbell) will not return due to a salary dispute.

Watch the trailer for the film below and see Scream VI in theaters on March 10.
