Suns out, buns out!
It’s no secret that we’re big Jason Momoa fans. The superhero heartthrob attracted our attention with ease once again. In true Aquaman form, Momoa recently took a fishing trip in Hawaii and documented the whole thing. Wearing only a loincloth, Momoa’s finer assets were on full display. Including his commitment to a cleaner environment.
A Cheeky Surprise
All aboard S.S. Momoa! The 43-year-old actor spent the day with friends on Captain Hopper’s boat to catch some aku and bask in the sun. The weather was certainly on their side, with Momoa even catching a rainbow in his Mananalu Water bottle (more on that later). The weather was looking out for us too it seems. Just when Momoa began reeling in a fresh catch, an opportune gust of wind gave us a glimpse at his bare derrière.

Leaving Single-Use Plastics Behind
Some of you may remember when Momoa shaved his head last month. The Game of Thrones actor is trying to raise awareness about the dangers single-use plastics pose to our oceans. “I’m tired of these plastic bottles,” said Momoa as he felt the wind on his temples for the first time. “It just goes into our land, goes into our ocean. I’m here in Hawaii right now and I’m just seeing some things in our oceans and it’s just so sad.” The buzzer continued to shave off his iconic locks as he made one final plea. “Please, anything you can do to eliminate single-use plastics in your lives. Help me, plastic bottles are ridiculous.”

Surrounded by the ocean as a kid, Momoa founded Mananalu in 2019 as an alternative to plastic water bottles. “Mana” is the sacred spirit of life, and “Nalu” is a powerful wave that pushes across the ocean. With Mananalu, Momoa hopes to be a part of ushering in a future with cleaner oceans and a world more dedicated to protecting them.
The Bottom Line
All of this is to say that we now have even more reason to love Momoa. He is one of the most well-rounded celebrities out there. If you’d like to support Mananalu Water, check them out on Instagram. For now, perhaps we’ll take a boat out onto the pacific to see if we can find Aquaman ourselves. If anyone asks where we are, tell them we’ve gone fishing.
