Maren Morris Drops ‘Welcome to the End’ for LGBTQ+ Charity Album

All Things Go just dropped major music news — and it’s for a cause close to our hearts.

The indie music festival and cultural tastemaker is releasing a charity compilation this fall benefitting The Ally Coalition, the nonprofit founded by Jack Antonoff and his sister Rachel to support LGBTQ+ youth. The project features a stacked lineup of queer icons, allies, and genre-bending stars including Maren Morris, Kesha, Orville Peck, Joy Oladokun, Medium Build, Allison Ponthier, Maude Latour, EMEI, Tayla Parx, and more.

    And yes, Antonoff is producing.

Maren Morris leads with “Welcome to the End”

The second official single off the compilation, “Welcome to the End”, is a powerful collaboration between GRAMMY winner Maren Morris and Antonoff. The emotionally raw anthem explores the mental toll of chasing your dreams — and the resilience it takes to keep going.

“It’s not a straight or pretty path to get there, but your own resilience can surprise you,” Morris said in a statement. “I’m so happy we can devote its release and message to The Ally Coalition.”

The song follows the first release, “Jesus and John Wayne” — a poignant and bold track by Googly Eyes, Joy Oladokun, and Allison Ponthier, which reclaims spirituality for those marginalized by religious institutions. Inspired by the bestselling book of the same name, it’s already gone viral online.

10 Years of All Things Go

This compilation celebrates a decade of All Things Go, known for curating festivals centered on female, queer, and non-binary artists. Past performers have included MUNA, Maggie Rogers, boygenius, Lana Del Rey, and Billie Eilish. This year’s editions will hit Maryland and New York in September, with the first-ever Toronto edition set for October 4-5, headlined by Reneé Rapp, Kacey Musgraves, Remi Wolf, and Role Model.

The compilation will be available digitally and on limited-edition vinyl, with a full tracklist and preorder details coming soon.

The Ally Coalition: Music with a Mission

The Ally Coalition (TAC) works with artists and festivals to provide resources, visibility, and direct support to organizations serving LGBTQ+ youth across the U.S. They’ve partnered with major tours from Joy Oladokun, Remi Wolf, Trixie Mattel, and Lauren Mayberry, among others.

By pairing powerful music with real-world impact, this upcoming compilation marks another step in All Things Go and TAC’s mission to uplift and amplify queer voices.

  • FINNEAS and Ashe Channel ’70s Nostalgia in New Track ‘The Hudson’

FINNEAS and Ashe Channel ’70s Nostalgia in New Track ‘The Hudson’

The Favors are keeping the dream alive. Today, the duo made up of longtime collaborators FINNEAS and Ashe unveiled their second single “The Hudson,” a cinematic follow-up to their debut track “The Little Mess You Made.” Both tracks will appear on The Dream, the duo’s first full-length album together, out September 19 via Darkroom Records.

A Love Letter to New York—and Heartbreak

Set to soft piano and layered harmonies, “The Hudson” captures the warm ache of a love slipping away. Ashe opens the song with poetic vulnerability: “The trees were bare and naked, and so were we—two old strangers sharing really personal things.” The lyrics evoke fleeting intimacy, while FINNEAS joins on the chorus: “All I’ve ever known is gone. I’ve got nothing but you to lose.”

The track swells with retro-tinged percussion, emotional guitar riffs, and harmonies that feel lifted from a lost Laurel Canyon demo tape. It’s a timeless sound that reflects their self-described “era-agnostic” approach to music.

In a statement, FINNEAS explains the song’s structure as almost theatrical: “Part of the band identity involves these characters who are singing about an experience to each other. It’s a musical theater design, and it rarely happens in pop. You can picture two individuals in an apartment overlooking The Hudson singing about the same thing.”

A Visual Story in Black and White

Directed by Alex Lockett, the official music video leans into the song’s emotional tension and vintage aesthetic. It’s a moody, filmic visual full of grainy textures, black-and-white vignettes, and soft-focus color shots of Ashe and FINNEAS by the water.

From “Moral of the Story” to The Dream

Fans of Ashe and FINNEAS will remember their breakout hit “Moral of the Story” in 2019, and 2021’s fan-favorite duet “Till Forever Falls Apart.” Now, they’ve fully embraced their shared artistic vision as The Favors.

Their upcoming album, The Dream, was co-written and recorded between Nashville (Ashe’s home) and Los Angeles (where FINNEAS lives). The project pays homage to the Laurel Canyon sound with nods to Carole King, Simon & Garfunkel, and Fleetwood Mac, all through a 2025 lens.

“This is the way every artist dreams of making an album,” Ashe shares. “People don’t sing together anymore when they’re recording, but it was so romantic and fun.”

“It’s a true ‘long-play album’ in its real intended meaning,” FINNEAS adds. “Hopefully, you can have friends over, cook a meal, and play this on vinyl front-to-back.”

Ashe sums it up perfectly: “I want you to feel simultaneously warm, fuzzy, and heartbroken at the same time.”

Fans noticed a mysterious update to Gaga’s website, which now features a countdown clock ticking toward 4 p.m. GMT (11 a.m. ET, 8 a.m. PT) on Monday, Jan. 27. The clock is surrounded by a black and white interactive background. In October, she released the album’s first single, “Disease,” and announced the record would drop in February. However, details like the release date, title, and cover art remain under wraps, and a second single hasn’t been announced.

Fans are praising the timing of Gaga’s teaser

“Her cheering up the gays today of all days—yeah, that’s MOTHER,” a fan wrote on social media. Another added, “Finally some good news in 2025.”

As the countdown ticks on, one thing’s certain: all eyes are on Gaga and what promises to be an unforgettable moment in pop history.

From Comic Books to Cinematic Brilliance

Let’s talk Harley Quinn! Gaga’s version of Harley, or should we say “Lee,” marks a bold departure from the comic book character we know and love. Director Todd Phillips gives Quinn a deeper, more complex edge in Joker: Folie à Deux.

“Playing Lee was such an intense experience,” Gaga shared. “She’s unpredictable, emotional, and completely captivating.”

Gaga’s transformation into Lee promises to be a standout, pushing boundaries and showing off her acting chops in the way only she can. Harley Quinn has evolved so much from her comic book days, and Gaga’s take is set to push the character to even more thrilling heights.

Her playful banter with the audience left fans buzzing with excitement. And with Harlequin just around the corner, the anticipation is off the charts.

    What’s Next for Mother Monster?

While Harlequin is the talk of the town, Gaga’s already hinted at her next project: LG7, dropping next year. The excitement never stops when it comes to Gaga, and fans are already speculating about what surprises she has up her sleeve.

Get ready to groove as we dive into this fresh hit and what makes it a must-listen!

From Dinosaur Digs to Dance Beats

The inspiration for this unique song came from a rather unexpected adventure. Kiesza met the unforgettable Clay Gibbons while digging for dinosaurs in Wyoming. Clay, a historian and passionate storyteller, shared tales of historical outlaws, like Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. But it was Etta Place that truly captured Kiesza’s heart. She was known as The Sundance Kid’s lover, but one day, Cassidy and Sundance were found dead, and she was gone.

Intertwined with tales of love, adventure, and mystery, Etta’s story sparked the fire behind this track. Blending evocative lyrics, cutting-edge electronic rhythms, and a touch of the cinematic, this track brings to life the mysteries of a long-gone era.
