Watch U.K. Gymnast Max Whitlock Dominate the Pommel Horse

At 23 years old, Olympic bronze medalist Max Whitlock has achieved more than most gymnasts. In his career Whitlock has competed at World, Olympic and other professional-level gymnastic competitions. In 2012, he competed in the London Olympic Games as part of the British men’s gymnastics team.

Whitlock won a bronze medal at Pommel Horse at the London games and proved he knows how to ride. In celebration of the 2016 Olympic Games, Whitlock collaborated with Gillette World Sport to create a short film highlighting Pommel Horse techniques.

The video’s description reads “Gillette World Sport is on the road to Rio 2016. In this weeks feature, we get a lesson in Pommel Horse technique with Olympic Bronze Medal winner and World Championships Gold Medal Winner, Max Whitlock and his coach, Scott Hann.”

According to the video, the Pommel Horse is “one of the most technically and physically demanding events in gymnastics.” Whitlock says, “You train so hard for many many years, and all this effort and hard work goes into that one performance on that one day. And if you can pull it off, it’s an amazing feeling.”
