Palm Springs International Film Awards will honor Lady Gaga.
The awarding body announced it is giving Gaga the icon award for her performance in House of Gucci.
According to Variety, Festival chairman Harold Matzner praised Gaga for her talent, spanning across categories.
“To many, Lady Gaga is an icon through her music, but she continues to impress audiences with her iconic acting roles,” Matzner said in a statement. “Following her memorable performance in A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga yet again raises the bar in her portrayal of Patrizia Reggiani in House of Gucci, the shocking true story of the family behind the Italian fashion empire. For this tour-de-force performance, it is our honor to present the icon award to Lady Gaga.”

Gaga will join the likes of Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, and Glenn Close, who have all received the Icon Award. Other acts set to be honored this year include Kristen Stewart for the Actress Spotlight Award and Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield for the Desert Palm Achievement Award.

The Award show will take place on Jan. 6, 2022, at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The Palm Springs International Film will have a film festival on the following days.
The icon award marks one of Gaga’s first awards for her role in House of Gucci, but it might not be her last. Critics believe Gaga will take home an Oscar nomination for her role in the Ridley Scott film.
House of Gucci premiered in theaters on Nov. 24.
