Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey are gearing up to play lovers in Showtime’s new miniseries Fellow Travelers.
Is it hot in this hallway or is it just me?
Bridgerton‘s Jonathan Bailey and Doom Patrol‘s Matt Bomer are making serious eyes at each other in the first official teaser for Showtime’s new queer drama series. Based on the best-selling novel by Thomas Mallon, Fellow Travelers follows Fordham graduate and devout Catholic, Timothy Laughlin (Bailey) and his unexpected love affair with State Department official Hawkins Fuller (Bomer). The love story spans four decades, beginning in the ’50s during the height of the Lavender Scare and ending during the AIDS crisis in the ’80s.
In the clip shared, both out actors lock eyes before a rush of memories comes flooding back- full of love, tragedy, intimacy, and a whole lot of nudity.
“The nuance of a complicated, volatile queer relationship is the power balance—and that is what is amazing about Tim and Hawk,” Bailey told Vanity Fair. “Every single sex scene is a meticulous examination of power.”
Yes, this series is about to be steaming hot. This is a history lesson I might pay attention to.
