Put down your pitchforks on Twitter; he’s just kidding. Unfortunately.
If you’ve seen The White Lotus, you know all about the sexual tension between Theo James’ Cameron and Will Sharpe’s Ethan. The two are old college roommates (and they were roommates) who go on a vacation together with their spouses in Italy. Their relationship is contained as a bromance throughout the season but I can’t be the only one that was chanting “kiss, kiss, kiss” when they were wrestling in the ocean. Right?

Variety spoke with James at the 2023 SAG Awards and asked why the two characters never crossed that line on the small screen.
“They cut the sex scene,” James answered. “It began in a kind of romantic way but then it gets very carnal, but Mike decided to cut it.” Meanwhile, Meghann Fahy, James’ on-screen wife, is cracking up in the background. “No, I’m joking! There was no sex scene,” he clarified.
Though we may never see Ethan and Cameron get it on, The White Lotus has plenty of steamy scenes for viewers to enjoy. Season one’s infamous rimming scene between Murray Bartlett‘s Armond and Lukas Gage’s Dillon almost broke the internet. And we can’t forget the beautiful moment between Mia and Valentina in season two. Plus, there’s always season three to look forward to.

Everything We Know About The White Lotus Season Three
Since the streaming service confirmed a third season of the popular drama, fans have been dying to know what Mike White has planned for the next installment. Unfortunately, we do not have a release date yet, but we do have a few theories on where it might take place.
In an interview with Deadline, director Mike White hinted at the idea of exploring a whole different continent.
“You know, we did Europe, and maybe Asia, something crazy like that, that would be fun.”
In the aftershow of season two, White also hinted at the theme of the season. “The first season highlighted money, and then the second season is sex. I think the third season will be a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality,” he said. “It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”
