One month after Jennifer Coolidge revealed her dream of playing a dolphin, that fantasy became a reality.
The comeback queen has been conquering the media despite her untimely watery death in Mike White’s The White Lotus. The 61-year-old actress took home her first Golden Globe, has garnered over one million followers on TikTok, and was named Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year.
Now, Coolidge is teaming up with e.l.f. Cosmetics for a Super Bowl commercial, and this is the dream duo we did not know we needed. The ad is for the beauty brand’s viral Power Grip Primer – a gel-based product that claims to smooth your skin while helping your makeup stick to your skin.

Jenifer Coolidge is Feeling Smooth Like a Dolphin
As expected, the commercial highlights Coolidge’s quirky humor and her love for dolphins.
“My gosh, it looks like I came from the sea,” she exclaims after applying the primer to her face. “Like a dolphin, like a baby dolphin.”
Coolidge then delivers an uncanny impression of the aquatic mammal, which has us repeatedly hitting the replay button. “I love it,” she exclaims while looking into the camera. We do too, Jennifer! The entire 45-second clip is so silly and genuine, just like the actress. Especially when she applies the primer on top of her finished makeup.
“I put products on out of order,” Coolidge told PEOPLE about the commercial. “I put the primer on after my makeup, because I feel like it makes me look extra dewy. I was putting it on in front of my friend, and we were joking around and I said, ‘Oh my god — It does look like I’m coming out of the sea. I look like I’m wet.’ And then I said, ‘Like a dolphin.'”
Last year, Coolidge spoke with Access Hollywood at the Golden Globe Awards and opened up about what role she would love to tackle next. “I’ve always wanted to play a dolphin,” she quickly replied.
“Like an animated feature?” asked the interviewer.
“Yeah, something like that.”

The Best Commercial at the Super Bowl
Coolidge said she is happy to be partnering with e.l.f. because of its devotion to creating cruelty-free products that are affordable.
“It’s the perfect fit because I don’t think makeup and skincare should be so incredibly expensive that girls are having to skip meals so they can buy this stuff… They’re well made, the right price point and the longevity e.l.f. products have is unbelievable.”
As if the commercial could get any better, it was co-written by The White Lotus creator Mike White. The full video will premiere on Feb. 12 during Super Bowl LVII.
