“Once upon a time…”
That’s how Prince Henry starts his fairytale in a newly released RWRB clip from Prime Video and fans are already torn up about it. Eagle-eyed viewers knew a campfire scene existed from the short flashback scenes in the movie, so now everyone can at least see what went down on that log.
In the video, titled “Prince Henry and Alex’s Fireside Chat,” Alex (Taylor Zakhar Perez) is lounging on a tree trunk by a campfire and asks his lover Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) a question.
“When you told me on our first night together that you couldn’t let anyone fall in love with you. Did you really mean that?” What he really means to say is, “I’m already in love with you. Sorry about it.”

Prince Henry Tells a Story
In response, Henry breaks into a fantastic story about a prince who trades security for his freedom.
“There had never been a prince quite like him. He was born with his heart on the outside of his body,” Henry says. He described how the other noble children lived without fear, whereas this prince “felt everything acutely.”
So, his grandfather gave him a suit of armor to protect his heart. But what the prince did not realize at the time was that he “paid for his safety was his freedom.”
“Until he met this devastatingly handsome young peasant boy – who was from this faraway land and said the most ghastly things to him – made him feel truly alive for the first time in his life,” Henry says while looking deep into Alex’s eyes.
“And because of this handsome peasant boy, the prince’s armor began to fall away. Piece by piece. Until all that was left was the piece of armor protecting his heart. Peasant boy pulled and pulled at this last piece of armor, but the prince held it firmly in place. With every tug, the boy made a space between the prince’s armor and his heart. And in that space, the prince’s heart could beat freely once again.”
It’s a really beautiful scene, and we can see why fans are upset they removed it from the final cut. But most users are just happy it now exists online.
