The Spanish army’s uniform has Twitter in a frenzy.
Photos of members of the Spanish army’s La Legión, a troop known as the Bridegrooms of Death, went viral after social media users drew attention to their stylish uniforms. The army force’s famous pastel green outfits feature tight-fitting trousers and low-cut shirts that highlight the physiques of the soldiers flawlessly.
“Spain is deploying its army to help manage their coronavirus outbreak and not to be insensitive at an anxiety-inducing time but uh … I think I speak for all New Yorkers when I say, Spain, hi, can you deploy some of that in our direction? We will comply with your orders,” author Jill Filipovic Tweeted on Sunday beside photographs of the army marching the streets.

Filipovic continued: “Just saying there are a lot of singles in this town who need to be put under house arrest, and these are just the men to do it.”

Thousands of Twitter users echoed Filipovic’s comments, and many were especially enamored by all the cleavage the uniforms exposed. “As a woman with eyes, I appreciate that their shirt lapels are practicing social distancing,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Not that I’ve blown it up or anything, but it seems important to note that the buttons only START halfway down. This is BY DESIGN (of god maybe but I let the viewer decide),” another tweeted.

Some onlookers found themselves even more turned on by the army’s look after learning the uniform was worn explicitly by the La Legión, an elite division of the Spanish military known for being extremely tough.

me, always looking for the lie: there’s no way that’s the real Spanish Army. no way. that cannot possibly be the uniform. I’m gonna debunk this in thirty se—

Not everyone was entertained by all the military unit’s revealing ensembles. Some people pointed out the dark history of the La Legión and its relationship to Francisco Franco, a leader of the government who was appointed as dictator of Spain from 1939 to 1975.
“Spanish Legion, the only reputation they had was for murdering civilians under Franco,” one person noted.

Uff believe me you don’t want those men near you…this faction is called “legionarios” is just one of the ones who exist in Spain.
They don’t have a great reputation. It’s not good to make general affirmations, but they are misogynist and defend values as the “death”— Sandra Drama (@srtacasper5) March 22, 2020
I am not immune to this.
