Fans can finally hear the full version of Halle Bailey’s “Part of Your World”!
We are just weeks away from the release of Disney’s live-action remake of the classic fairytale, The Little Mermaid. Tickets for the premiere are officially on sale, and to mark the occasion, Disney has released a new one-minute teaser, exclusive character posters, and the single, “Part of Your World.”
Audiences have gotten a taste of Halle Bailey’s angelic voice in previous trailers for the film. However, you can now hear the redheaded mermaid sing about life in the human world anytime you want on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Amazon Music.
The streaming service also offers a better look at the main characters of the film – including Ariel (Bailey), Ursula (Melissa McCarthy), Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King), King Trident (Javier Bardem), and Sebastion (Daveed Diggs)- in these new colorful character posters.
The Little Mermaid tells the whimsical story of a mermaid named Ariel who dreams of seeing what lies beyond the depths of the sea. When she visits the surface and encounters a dashing Prince named Eric, she decides to visit a sea witch and bargain for a pair of legs.

Putting a Spin on a Classic Story
Though kids and parents alike have been enjoying the lovely story of a mermaid who fell for a human for decades, the new adaptation promises to breathe new life into the fairytale. Not only is Disney bringing beautiful representation into the story, but according to Bailey, they are also drifting away from the stereotypical “it was all for a boy” plot. “I’m really excited for my version of the film,” she told Edition. “It’s way bigger than that. It’s about herself, her purpose, her freedom, her life and what she wants.”
Nevertheless, the new teaser Disney released on Wednesday is full of nods to the classic animated tale, like Ariel’s encounter with a shark, her deal with Ursula, and dancing with Eric in town square.
The Little Mermaid is swimming into a theater near you on May 26. Get your tickets here.
