Barbie and Ken Are Arrested in New ‘Barbie’ Trailer

Warner Bros. has released a new full-length trailer for the Barbie movie and dropped the shocking list of artists on the soundtrack.

“Do you guys ever think about dying?”

Audiences have been dying to know what the Barbie movie is about, and now we know. Kind of. A new trailer for Warner Bros.’ new film based on the famous Mattel doll shows the pink-loving toy living her dream life in Barbie Land. Every day is soft pink sand on the beaches, perfectly sparkled outfits, and planned choreography.

“It is the best day ever. And so is today, and tomorrow, and every day from now until forever!” Margot Robbie’s Barbie says during a big party at her dollhouse mansion. And her statement is true until she starts having an existential crisis. Suddenly, she can’t float down from the top floor of her house; even worse, her feet are not perfectly arched!

Barbie then enlists the help of Kate McKinnon’s Barbie, who sends her to the Real World to discover the truth about the universe. Luckily, she has a companion, as Ryan Gosling’s Ken hid in the backseat of her pink convertible.

Barbie Takes on the Real World

Barbie and Ken will likely learn much more about reality than they bargained for, including what the inside of a jail cell looks like. “If this got out, this could mean extremely weird things for our world,” Will Ferrel says in the trailer. He plays the big bad toy company CEO.

The film also stars America Ferrera, Michael Cera, and Ariana Greenblatt. Previous trailers for the film introduced the audience to the world of Barbie, including the other Babrie dolls like Issa Rae, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Nicola Coughlan, and Sharon Rooney. Of course, we can’t forget about the Kens, like Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, and Scott Evans.
